Just curious how many members of this group use DVDs? I am considering the 21 Day Fix and would like to hear success/non-success stories from those who have used any program and what your results were. I have done many; Cathe Friedrich, Kelly Coffey, BodyBeast, Turbo Jam, Supreme 90 Day and many, many more. TIA

I have a few DVD's (hip hop abs, sweating to the oldies), but I haven't used them yet. I have been thinking of doing the 21 day fix dvd. I have tried shakeology and did not like it so I dont plan on doing it again. I have heard a lot of people say they like the 21 day fix dvd's, but unless your a big meal planner, they said using the containers was a bet of a challenge (meal planning wise). I am thinking about just getting the dvd only.

I did exercise vhs and dvds for years. I liked Karen Voight, Kari Anderson, Corey Everson, Billy Blanks, and others.

I do much better in group classes in the gym though.

Anyone using a DVD for Beginner's Yoga? I think I would feel more comfortable in my own living room initially.

Hubby and I have a few from over the years. This one is good to start:
Yoga for the rest of us with Peggy Cappy.
There are some short snippets of that DVD on Youtube.
The benefit of having a real life yoga teacher is having someone make sure your moves are correct so that your back is safe.
I googled and saw that correct placement of the knee matters too.

Here are four general tips on how to keep your back safe overall, and some poses in which to use them.

    1 Engage your abdominal core.
2 Lengthen through the spine. Zip yourself up and stack the vertebrae from bottom to top.
    3 Engage your gluteus muscles
4 Properly warm up (especially when attempting deep back bending poses like Wheel).
Yoga people people are welcoming to newcomers. The first few times, you can take a spot off to the side or in the back so you can see what others are doing.
