Low Carb Doctor Network?

I was just curious, I was wondering if there's a "low carb" LCHF, Keto & Cholesterol Clarity, doctor network? You know, doctors that know what we know and treat their patients accordingly. The ones that know the cholesterol, fat and benefits of a low carb/Ketogenic diet?
I live in the Detroit suburbs and would be willing to drive 25 miles if I could find a doc like this. I keep thinking I'll educate my doctor, maybe by giving him some good books. But, I don't think that's gonna work/wishful thinking.
I haven't tried googling it yet, I just got back and can easily post again on MFP discussion forums.
I'm hoping the docs band together somewhere on the internet?

I don't know of any network specifically for low carb, but have a look at http://primaldocs.com/ and http://paleophysiciansnetwork.com/ . They're Paleo/Primal rather than LCHF/keto, but they're more likely to be open to this way of eating, since they already have a foot in the "it's the food" door, and are already using a lower carb, higher fat and protein way of eating to help people.0

This should definitely be a thing. Maybe we should get on to all these Keto authors and get them to start a bandwagon. I personally know my Endocrinologist was all over this way of eating - and in fact, he's the one who pushed me to go for it. He's also a huge fan of MFP, so I know I hit the golden goose here!0

Great idea. I go this to this nutritionist and she is so much anti- low carb, that sometimes I feel that I am educating her more on science than she is helping me. The old school thought is so much difficult to dismantle!0

Thanks Debra & Dragon for that. Its what I was hoping to find. I don't see any Michigan "doctors", just nutritionists and "DC" (I think that's a chiropractor, IDK). Does a chiropractor go through the same training as a doctor? Heck, 5 years ago, I didn't know there different types of doctors. I kept seeing DO, not MD. Apparently those two aren't much different.
But what about DC? I thought Chiropractors "cracked" your back and neck and adjusted the length of your legs (LOL!)
Or, in other words, if I break my leg or get a lung infection, can I go to a DC to get help?
Or, I may try contacting them, and see if they know any doctors.

I credit my chiropractor for changing my life. He has improved my health dramatically. Yes, he has altered the way my spine sits and functions in my body and that has improved my health. But he was also the one who first introduced me to sugar-free, grain-free eating. He is the first medical professional that I turn to for most ailments, and they are now few thanks to him. I think you could liken him to a functional medicine Dr.
Chiropractors in general try to solve medical issues in natural ways, through spinal adjustments which influence the way your whole body functions, through anti-inflammatory nutrition, through exercise, mental well-being and avoidance of toxins all around you in the products you use and the food you eat.
Chiropractors will not be able to treat something like a broken leg, but will surely help you avoid the injury in the first place, and will be able to help you recover from injury much better.
Regarding your question about lung infection, in my opinion, chiropractors can help you take care of yourself naturally, so that you don't get the lung infection at all. It's been at least 3 years since I've even had a cold or flu.
I see my chiropractor regularly, not just when injured. He keeps my body working very well. I suggest you check one out.0
