A little triathlon humor since the topic came up. ;)

Marla - rashes are the worst to endure! Is it improving?

Laura - That is super frustrating when you are offering your time and they don't jump on it. It sends a message that they don't appreciate what you're doing. Hopefully that mess gets worked out!

My hubby and I send each other emails every day. Just telling each other about our day and what is on our minds and such like that. It helps when he's both working and having to do constant homework. Unfortunately I can't wait up for him. He works 1pm until 11...but is usually held over and often doesn't get home until 2am. I have to get up and workout and get kids ready. But we do see each other in the mornings. He usually has to disappear and do homework. But he definitely understood what I was saying about protecting our family meal times. He's just basically terrible and time management. He thinks something will only take a short amount of time and it doesn't. I also need to be better at putting my foot down if he's starting something I know will prevent family dinner.

So, for second service in my church I now prep our kids worship time. I was shown how to create the play list of videos and music. But wasn't shown how to download the videos off the site we use. I thought it would be simple...of course it wasn't. I worked on it for two days and kept hitting road block after road block. Yesterday I worked out it and still hadn't made any progress and was so frustrated! My first week doing this new stuff...it's basically like getting a new job. I actually started to get nasuous and thought I was going to puke, got clammy and thought I was getting sick. Downloaded my last attempt...and it actually worked! And then magically felt better. So basically I was stressing myself out to the point of illness. Ugh. But that was the last thing I didn't actually know how to do. First service stuff is the same stuff we use in the preschool. It's a curriculum I ordered and picked and something I've already been prepping for our younger group for a year now. So now surprises there. This was the last big hump and now I feel immensely better! Just giving myself a couple of weeks to adjust to everything but at least I now know what to expect! Phew!

Today I have Pilates and then I'm headed in church to use my newly downloaded videos to upload the playlist. Finishing laundry as well. But at least some low key things and then some time with the kids. They earn fun time by finishing tasks within an allotted amount of time. They have about 40 minutes so we're heading to the library this afternoon to read books and play. Should be fun! :). Have a great day everyone!

Looks a bit better but very slow. It rained for 1 hr pouring in middle of night woke me up, I hoped for clear air but almost the same, I guess that tells you how bad its been. I am beginning to think it will be this way until we leave for ocean in little over two weeks.

We ended up going to library to print closing forms and doing certfied mail instead of movie, so will go today.

I will do at least short walk to river, feeling pathetic exercise wise these days but I know this will go away soon!

Glad you figured out last part of job Val, doing new things is challenging. I didn't realize hubby worked so late, mine before he retired ten years ago worked swings and would get home at 11:30pm back then i worked normal 8-5 job so many weeks didnt see him until weekend, but we got together when my daughter was a senior and married year she left for college so I didn't have to deal with kids alone. Mostly I was lonely, I found a few girlfriends from work to have dinners with and joined a health club in town i moved to.

Will his job always be nghts? That would be very hard. I only had 4 years of it until he retired.

Hey y'all! Haven't read anything, just at a wifi cafe without a kid jerking the iPad out of my hands (yet) and wanted to say HI! We leave the island on the 3rd, arrive in Athens the 4th. I'm going to have my work cut out for me, but am chomping at the bit!! I'll be getting BOTH kids into school (eeeeee!) and trying to tie up loose ends before DH leaves for a 5week trip to US near the end of September. I've got so much catching up to do with weightloss, workouts, calf problems, and with what's up with all you guys! Hope all is well! Will catch up after the 4th!!
