hello! I'm new to this group. Sleeved November 2014. I'm down 96 pounds but feel I'm at a stall. I think my carbs are too high. I never tracked before but I'm willing to try. When you set your diet guidelines on here, what percentage was your carbs, protein, and fats? Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome to the group.
I believe I'm set up for 25%carb/40% protein/34%fat. I mostly eat meat with very few veggies other than beans.0 -

I start the math backward - I figure out what percentage my protein needs to be so that I get 80g of protein. At 1000 calories (based on my pre-op diet), it is 32%. Getting the 80g of protein is key to me. I then put my carbs at closer to 40% and my fat at close to 30%. But, mentally, when I'm looking at numbers, I'm focused on keeping my protein at or above 80g. Not sure where your calories are, but MFP doesn't allow you to go below 1000. Then, in trying to keep my calories, carbs and fat below the other numbers.0

I generally avoid bread, rice and pasta, and to a lesser degree potatoes. Also, I'm very intentional about when and how much dessert or alcohol I have -- I don't deprive myself, but it doesn't take much.0

Mine are:
Protein 40% (101g)
Fat 46% (51g)
Carbs 14% (35g)
1003 calories per day
I still eat the pre-op diet of avoiding starches and sugars. Oh, I enjoy a little here or there, but I need my carbs low. Low carb is my key to my success. My diary is open, if you'd like to take a look.0 -
My NUT told me early on that she didn't care what my carb % was, as long as the carbs I had were from either my dairy (milk/greek yogurt) veggies or fruit. Some days I don't stick by that, but if possible, I try to limit my carbs to no more than 25-28%.0
