Laura - what a productive day! That has to be so satisfying to see such a visual improvement in your house! I'm glad the running is going so well for you now!

Marla - I'm so happy that you had such a good day! I'm also glad the rash is going away. At least now you know it's not shingles! Hopefully the recovery just gets faster and faster!

The potluck went well. I was remembering back to when my kids were super little...how I had to carry all their plates for them, cut up their food, feed them, etc. Hubby has always worked so I have always done these church potlucks alone. But now the kids can carry their own plates and feed themselves. They can run around and play and they know what they can and can't mess with so I actually get to sit and chat for the most part. It was fun but draining for this introvert so I was glad to get home. I also hadn't slept well and was looking forward to a nap. Then my son locked the bathroom door and shut it closed as he left. The knob broke and I couldn't get it off. My dad came up and fixed it and replaced the knob, but there went my nap. I did bring the kids to the store to each get a special toy for finally doing every single chore last week. It's taken about a month and a half but they've finally gotten the chores figured out and finish the without a massive amount of nagging. Which helps me immensely during the week!

Did a longer bike ride yesterday. But part way through almost hit a giant snake (probably 2-3 feet long and large enough where if I had hit it...I would have crashed). This is Phoenix, so nothing is benign here. It absolutely scared me to death! I was centimeters away from it and I was glad that I was going fast enough where it didn't have time to react and attack. Probably a rattlesnake, they are common here. Went to bed late after all the hubbub with the bathroom and such. But doing some strides in my run this morning and a quick swim. Also going to head to Costco quickly. The hope being that I can actually get a nap today! ;)

    Have a great week everyone!

I'm sweating just thinking about the snake. That would freak me out - both the snake & the close call with crashing. Glad to hear the potluck went so well, and that the kids also earned their reward last week!

I took today & tomorrow off work, just for fun. I'm doing laundry now. One load is on the line & another is in the washer. In an hour I have a chiropractor appointment. My neck & low back are both sore. I also need to run to the bank to get cash for the guys who worked on my house this weekend. I have money direct deposited from each paycheck into a savings account that I use for stuff like this. At some point today I'm going to make myself get on my bike. I'm kind of afraid of it right now, and that was before the snake story. And then at 5:30 I have my session with Jason.

I hate snakes! I would be shaking! So glad nothing happened.

Laura so nice to fix up house and your following my dads financial principals of saving!

Rash still itchy and half gone. I actually stopped the cream as it wasn't working (felt moe itchy) so I am not sure what I have.

Going to cover up and go to nia in a hour anyway, can't wait forever!
