Thanks everyone for your kind comments. And yes rpyle - I think I did a good deal of underestimating myself. The swim was the only place I really had a good idea of what I was capable of and I set my goal at 12 knowing I should be able to do 11 but that open water is very different than the pool. But I even beat that 11. The other two were guesses and somewhat dependent on the course. I set goals I knew I could accomplish but was blown away by how much I beat them. I'm so glad I did it because now I really know what I am capable of. Participating in a timed event is really great as a third data point beyond weight and inches. I can't wait to do the same race next year and see how far I've come from now even. And man, what a confidence builder! Next up: 5 mile Turkey Trot with stroller and 35lb toddler. Bring it on!

    You're not wrong.
The worst part is that I'm out of vacation/sick time, so I'm at work with my door closed trying to keep from germing up everyone else. Well, that and my son has been sick, too. He was actually OK for the most part, but now his dad is sick and is doing the typical Y-chromosome thing where he's going to be a bigger baby about it than the 6-year-old was.

Going into the final full week of Sept!!

    1. Plan meals ahead more often (not happening as much as I'd like)
    2. Exercise 5 times a week (hopefully this week!)
    3. Increase Protein - YES!!
    4. Add some strength training >> maybe this week?
    5. Lose 15lbs (SW 187 / CW 179)
Not likely but I'll take 10lbs if I can leave 2 more lbs behind before the end of Sept :)

I've hit a major slowdown/stall this month (month 3). Too much work, not enough gym. On top of that, a (mostly) moderated amount of cheating. Not enough hours in the day.

I need to set a goal of taking care of myself during the weekends. Saturday I ate a cup of yogurt and maybe 30 oz of water. Bad Tony.

I've had a rough couple of weeks and need to get focused:
    1. No junk cheats. None.
    2. Get back fulltime on the exercise wagon. Went to kickboxing last night and that helped.
    3. Increase water intake moving into fall/winter.
    4. Manage some recent work stress.

Last week in September! Where did the month go?

    This week's goals:
    1. Don't slack on exercise despite the rain forecast
    2. Hold planks for 30 seconds or longer (I'm a total weakling in my core muscles right now)
    3. Keep increasing water intake to 10 minimum glasses a day

12lbs down in sept. I have my 3 month follow up tomorrow so I'm feeling good about where I'm at.
