Trigger warning: talk of upset stomachs and the results thereof.

Funny story! I am switching our cats over to a raw diet (using TCFeline powder mix) to see if it can treat some of their issues as we see working so well for folks around here. :#

Their stomachs are having a rough transition (as are the family members stepping in cat vomit first thing in the morning). So after I heard the latest report of a ruined area rug this morning, I looked up some info about relieving upset stomachs and found a forum that sounds like an echo of keto forum discussions, it was as if there are a bunch of @FIT_Goat clones feeding cats.

As an example:
no healthy cat, with a strong, healthy digestive system, needs fiber to maintain stool consistency when eating a balanced raw diet. It's only on those occasions when the cat's digestive system has been compromised (usually from a long period on kibble) and all attempts to find an acceptable balance of bone and meat have failed, that adding fiber should be considered. And even then, fiber doesn't address the underlying problem, it only corrects the symptoms.

I'm pretty certain that's been said in this group many times!! :D (okay maybe not the bone part.. Fit_Goat, you eating bone meal yet?)

Good luck. I've wanted to switch mine to raw. I hope their little bellies catch up to their new diet soon.

I warmed the food a little longer last night and backed up to mostly kibble instead of the half/half I'd stepped up to, and everyone was very happy (I checked every room of the house for surprises though).
