I liked this reminder this morning, that I'm human and thus I will never be perfect. My diet has been fluctuating a lot the past week or two. A lot of it stress. But there will be weeks like that and I haven't fallen off the bandwagon or anything. Just not making the best choices I could.
Laura - I hate how one person can wreck a day with their words. I hope you were able to work it out! How did your run go?
Marla- so glad you're rash is almost gone! I'm sure that is such a relief! When do you move into your house?
We had no big plans yesterday so I had rented a movie and planned to have a relaxing evening with my kids. We were going to make homemade pizza together and watch a movie and relax. Of course my middle kiddo was in the worst mood I've ever seen her in and was just plain mean all evening. Yelling at her siblings because their voice bothers her was a big one. So the other two picked up on her mood. We made pizza together and watched the movie but she spent much of the time confined to the couch, not allowed to even talk. Finally just sent her to bed where she wailed for 30 minutes about missing the fun. *sigh. Hopefully today will be a better day for them!
I have my Pilates class this morning. This is also the morning I actually weigh in. I haven't for a month and im a little nervous that I'm still on this plateau. Silly really, but I am. We'll see how it goes.0 -
Hi!
Val, I'm having some turbulence with my kids after such a long vacation, so I can relate.
Well today I had an errand to do, so I walked downtown and back. Unfortunately the errand required me to wait outside in the sun and I was so totally done when I got home. Having a late season little heatwave here, so trying to sit still and stay cool. Being back in Athens reminds me of the obstacles I have to deal with (the heat, no a/c, apt that got wrecked by DH and brothers in laws visits this Summer, plus all our luggage). I'm just holding on til school starts and especially until DH leaves for five whole weeks at the end of the month. It'll be easier when I'm alone, to get everything done. The plan is lots of walking, home calisthenics, sometimes gym, but running is (for now) a big question mark0 -
My run yesterday was good. I explored a new trail at a nearby state park and loved it. It was mostly grass with roots & a few rocks to navigate, with quite a few hills. There was one long uphill early on and I did an out & back so I ended with a nice long downhill anyway.
Today's a rest day, and I needed it. Was up from 2-5am, then slept until 8:15 when my alarm went off. Had a massage at 9:15 so I'm glad I set my alarm or I would have overslept. I almost didn't because I never sleep that late, but I've been feeling rundown. I told my massage lady I was feeling tension in my neck & head and she spent an entire hour working on my upper shoulders, head & neck. Her place is right next to the grocery store so I made a quick stop there & have spent the rest of the day at home. It's been good.
Hope you're all having a good Saturday!0 -
