Sherry - I can imagine how crazy it is right now for you, trying to get your kids back into a routine! Didn't you say your daughter starts school too this year? Hopefully that will free up a lot of time for you. Why is running a question mark, did you injure yourself?
Laura - that rest day sounds amazing! Unfortunately, hubby works Friday through Monday...so the days I don't have to drag kids to school and such...I'm home alone with them. So not many lazy days. However, at the end of the month I'm heading to San Diego on my ladies getaway and that will be fantastic!
Marla- You're so close! And be picky about furniture! You don't want to buy something like that and regret it later!
Yesterday went better food-wise. I had been struggling this week with sugar cravings. Only to realize the other night how crazy thirsty I was. I had been focusing on drinking a bottle of water at every little activity and that had been helping. But in the stress of everything the past week or two I hadn't been doing that. So I drank plenty of water yesterday and no cravings. Hoping it is really that easy as I had been in a good rhythm eating-wise before this.
Took some time to sit and read a good book and it was fantastic. Once I finish the book, hoping to actually set aside time each day to finish the cross stitching for my mom I started before I had any kids. Lol. Actually taking time each day for me time that isn't technology I think will help my mental state a lot.
Have a great Sunday!0 -
Happy Sunday!
Val I don't envy your scedule but it will end, the kids do grow up and with each year you get more free time.
We were going to the gym but hubbys new iphone set off a loud amber alert from town 4 hrs away that woke us up after less than 4 hrs sleep, neither could go back to sleep so we are dragging. Alerts off now!
Going to walk to river instead. No nia tomorrow because of labor day, i am kind of bummed because now i only have 2 left, and regular teacher just got called away to family so sub. All is good just dissappointing.0 -
Hi everyone!
Marla I agree it pays to be picky with furniture. You have to look at it every day so you want to like it.
Val hope the water continues to help! My allergy meds give me dry mouth so I'm drinking all the time. I'm better at work than at home. Some days I'll have a nagging headache & realize I'm just dehydrated.
Hoping to run a 5K in a couple hours. Well run/walk. It's in the low 80s with a dew point of 71 so it's oppressive outside. There are thunderstorms both north & south right now and they're supposed to fire up here too around race time.
My eating is going well. My sleep is a mess. I woke up feeling okay this morning, got up & put clothes in the washer and washed some dishes, then fell back to sleep for another hour. Slept more this afternoon. Ran to walmart and felt half drugged walking around the store so I bought a slightly lower dosage of melatonin than what my doctor recommended I take and am going to try that tonight. I woke up on my own this morning so it's not that I'm not waking up but I can't seem to stay up, and that's been happening regularly since I started taking the extended release ones. Maybe my body extends that too far.0
