Good morning ladies and gents I thought since I'd been such a poor poster the past week and a half, I'd try to make up for it by starting our weekly WINS thread this week! I hope you all had a great week and will have some awesome positive news to report. If not, let us know how we can commiserate with you

Ok - so I'm going count my weight yesterday as my official weigh-in weight this week.
The good: I was down 1.4 lbs yesterday! WOOHOO! Only 5 lbs to go to goal.
The bad?: I am right back up that 1.4 lbs today. And I did not seriously misbehave yesterday! Lol! What I did do yesterday though, was start my lifting program. I did my first StrongLifts 5x5 workout yesterday, and today I am a bit sore in the targeted areas so I am hoping this is just 'muscle repair' water weight that will go away. I am SO close to turning in my 140# card for the 130# and it keeps being dangled in front of me and then snatched away! Argh! But I know, based on all the evidence I've seen by way of before/after photos posted here on MFP by other ladies who lift heavy, that I'll burn fat, eventually build muscle (when I go into maintenance), and get smaller if I stick with it, so I'll stick with it. It's just hard on those weigh-in days!0 -
Also muscle weighs more than fat. Good job!! I am really up this week, stress eating I am sure.0

Thanks for creating this week's thread Kristine! I caught up with your Cross Fit experience and WTG for jmping on those boxes! You gotta show them who's boss. You're gonna get rid of that 140# card and get all buff in the process!
I think I was flat for last week. I've been all over the scale lately so it's hard to keep track. Stress eating is a killer Debbie and I think I'm going thru the same thing, plus I've been allowing myself to enjoy beer or wine every now and then. I don't go overboard but it is extra calories.
I went on a great hike on Labor Day and ended up going for almost 11 miles. I hiked out to North Dome from Tioga Pass in Yosemite. It was pretty smokey due to the Rough Fire near Fresno but on the dome itself, it wasn't too bad. So I found a couple trees and put up my hammock and took an hour snooze. I'll post a picture of my view from it later. After I woke, the smoke cleared a bit more so I enjoyed the view a little better than when I first got there. I will definitely go back when things clear up, as I classify this hike as a "Must Do!!" On the way back to the trailhead, I spotted a fire blow up not too far away from me, which turned out to be the Tenaya Fire curretnly going on right where I hiked, so that's pretty freaky.
A few days ago, the Butte Fire started, which I'm sure Debbie knows about, and it's turning into a monster. It's pretty far away from me but I do have smoke and ash to deal with so that means no outdoor activities for a while. I really hate fire season! Just the smell of that type of smoke is nauseating. I love a great campfire but this is so much different. I think I'm going to have a bad weighin tomorrow since I had pizza last night and we are going out for Mexican tonight. I'll try to abstain from the chips and salsa though!
Anyways, I hope you ladies have had a good week and even better weekend!0 -

Wow! Incredible pics Scott! I live in the Laurel Mountains in SW Pennsylvania, but they're not really mountains when you compare them to what you guys have out West. Beautiful!0

Nice pictures!! Finally the air is better right now. I was in Sonora last year with the rim fire and it looked like fog with the fire but my sister posted a picture of downtown Sonora last weekend wow horrible.
Not with it on my exercise hope to change that this week.

When I had some in-laws living in Pennsylvania, I visited there during a Christmas and we went skiing on some mountain there. You're right... not much to speak off and it didn't take long to ski all the trails, but at least it's something.0
