Good luck! If you've read Phinney and Volek, then you know you should be increasing sodium intake to avoid "the flu."0

I looked them up from one of your posts. I like salt, but was feeling a little "fluish" this morning. So maybe I'll go lick some more.0

If you're a nerd, you'll LOVE their book. The best I've read about low carb by far, and it's written for nerds.
Conceptually, LCHF is very simple, but people run into problems that can cause poor compliance. Their book will give you the knowledge to avoid those problems as well as give you lots of info about both the benefits and mechanisms of LCHF.0 -
I know what you mean about it being more expensive, meat and avocados are expensive. But eggs are cheap-ish. I buy free range though and three hard boiled eggs for lunch with some (even homemade) mayo is not a very expensive meal in cash or calories but incredibly filling.0

Good luck. It sounds like you are clearly over-thinking LCHF. For most of us this is a WOE not a "diet".0

I love eggs total. As I said, I've been low carb for quite awhile, Fatchi, but going Vlchf is an experiment.0

I like to think! In 10 days I've discovered I can eat about 50 net carbs a day, 1500-1700 calories a day, and lose an average of .25#'s a day. I think that's awesome! I can also stick to my calorie goals; when I was eating 100-150 grams of carbs a day I was hungry under 1800 calories. Once a new way of eating is established, such strict oversight is no longer required. For me, this is not a WOE yet. I've only been at this for 10 days. And I personally don't see any point in going lower carb than I have to in order to lose weight.0

Finding the level that works for you is what makes this work. Trying to exactly duplicate what someone else is doing is a set up for failure. N=1 as we say here!0
