I just did Day 1 of Week 1 yesterday.... Holly Cow am I out of shape!! and NOT a runner but I am determined to gut it out and do the entire program. not really looking to do 5K marathons or anything just want to ba able to keep up to my 10yr old at soccer..... I will be taking it real slow as I was a smoker for 27yrs and just quit 18months ago. I will be doing weeks 1 and 2 over a 4 week span (2 days a week) and see how it goes from there. I think I will need some moral support...
Thanks in advance.

Good for you for starting! I remember the first run I did with the program. I thought I was going to die! But, here I am a year later, and I'm able to go for much longer. You can do it!

I just started also. Completed W1D2 today! The first day I had to skip 2 run cycles (felt like my legs were going to fall off at the hip and my knees and ankles did not appreciate the run). Today I only skipped 1 run cycle and it was only my knees protesting, so improvements are already being seen! Depending on how W1D3 and W2D1 goes, I may or may not repeat week 1 since I'm pretty out of shape. Good luck to you!

I just did w2d3 and boy was it hard! This is my second time trying this program. Last time I got to week 4 and quit...I really wanna be able to do the 3miles when I get to the end of the program. Hope I can...good luck to all of you hope we all get to the end and say things like "man I love to run!"

Congrats to everyone who has just started the program - you've already completed the toughest step! Be patient with yourself, and with the program, and you'll be sure to progress. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish!

I started week 2 today and 90 seconds didn't seem as hard as I thought they would be. Last week I thought 60 seconds was my limit but you will surprise yourself. Just take it one run at a time. Go slower than you think you should and don't let the negative voices in your head take over. We can all do this!

I just started, too. Finished week one, and starting week 2. I am not a runner, never have been. I still worry that I am too large to do this, but I'm giving it a shot! Good luck to all.

I've just started too - Week 1 Day 2 completed this morning in the pouring rain after nightshift. Looking forward to helping motivate eachother through this - I'm determined to see it through!
