So, heavy exercise is not a recommended part of OMAD when trying to lose significant amounts of weight; we all know that, right? However, some coming to this board may just want to do OMAD for reasons other than losing weight. Maybe they just like the simplicity, whatever. So, what did you do today that qualified as activity?

Alternated running and walking for 16 track laps, finding a cadence that will put me under 16 minutes for the mile and a half next weekend. Looks like 165-170 SPM is going to be the most comfortable and gives me an average of 2:35 per lap. I knew that metronome would come in handy someday. . .

2-mile run in morning, re-organizing a garage and pushing a '46 Chevy truck back into same garage, and 20 minutes of high-intensity trampoline-jumping with a 5 and 7-year-old just a few minutes ago (it is 7 pm here).

HIIT sprints and multiple max-rep sets of pushups and situps Friday and Saturday. Two max-rep sets of pushups and situps Sunday. Tonight is sprints only. I am *this* close. . .

Six laps of straight-away sprints, max push-ups x2, now rest until Saturday. Side note, I injured my foot. There is wisdom in not going too hard, too fast.

There is. I've done it a hundred times and have to stay "with it" and constantly re-assess my joints to make sure I'm not "cutting loose" too much.

Workout with the ice pack today. I might do some Ibuprofen curls later, followed by a lengthy session of HIIT slumber.

    Are your knees hurting?

Not too bad, the calves took a beating though. Lots of dancing about and such. I'm going to try another session or two before I commit to anything. It was a good time!

They continue to get tougher, but my knees are what give on me and have to be rested here and there. Think nothing of it. Just stay consistent in how often you administer the abuse and you may find that your body will start - and keep - repairing the damage better.

Calf raises and vertical leaps. My nemesis.

Now, all I do is work. I can't wait to get back to a good, bi-daily exercise routine.

What part of the country you located?

I am in South Texas. San Antonio, but even as south as we are, it gets cold enough to make me miserable. Those in North Texas are really getting it, not to mention those northward of Texas. That's the one bad thing about dropping weight...you lose your ability to handle the cold!!!
