Roasted broccoli (with butter and garlic is yummy), a chopped up avocado sprinkled with salt, steamed spinach (drizzled with butter, yum)...that's about all I got. I don't really eat proper meals, with side dishes or green stuff on one corner of my plate. I'm more of a random grab-a-hunk-of-cheese kinda person.
I really like thai green curry so have some nice curry paste that I stick on everything right now.0 -
Oh, that reminded me of another side I like.
6. Marinate a halved avocado cut side down in (either or a mix of) balsamic vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Peel it right before serving and slice it. It's amazing with crockpot slow cooked beef. A bite of the fatty salty avocado on the same fork as a chuck of fall apart meat is amazing.
On a side note to make a roast I just add the large hunk of meat, a sliced onion and a few TBSP of liquid (water, Italian dressing, balsamic vinegar or whatever) and cook on low 6-8 hrs depending on size, in the covered crock pot till it's fall apart tender.0
