Does anyone else loose every time they swim?

I think one of things I love the most about swimming is every time I hop out of the pool I am instantly two pounds lighter than when I got in (After I dry off of course). Its awesome, I am sure as I start to weigh less this wont happen as much but for three months every time I swim its expected. Does any one else loose a lot with each swim?

My sessions are typically 90min long 3 days a week

Honestly, it never occurred to me to weigh myself before and after swimming.

Did it this morning for the first time in a long time. Two lbs is about average for me, but this morning it was nearly 4! I also peed between the "before" and the "after" weigh in ( and no, not in the pool!)

Pretty sure most of that is water weight. Especially if you're not hydrating during your workout.

I always lose 1-2 lbs when swimming. Just water I know, but its nice to see it on the scales.

I thought something similar - my clothes always seemed a little looser after a swim - but then I started taking a water bottle to the pool and taking a sip after every couple laps. Now I realize I was just getting quite dehydrated!

Most I ever lost during one swim was 6 lbs, but it is almost all water weight and dehydration, and that was probably a 5-mile swim that took 2 hours and 43 minutes. Make sure you drink lots of water after swimming. It is a great exercise!

Yup. 4 to 6 pounds of water even though I drink a quart of water (2#) during my swim. I bring two 1 quart bottles when I do a 10km pool swim.
Only brought one bottle when I did 5 miles last Saturday.
