Grounds for Divorce

My wife was very mean tonight. We were at a BBQ place and they had an option called "The Whole Hawg" which was brisket, pulled pork, ribs, turkey, chicken, and sausage along with 4 sides (easily enough for 2-4 people). It was a bit expensive ($37) and I wanted to get it for myself. I figured the sides would be eaten by the rest of the table. I could go to town on all that meat. Can you believe my wife had the nerve to tell me, "no," and suggest that I order something more reasonable? What a buzzkill!

I mean, I was able to get ribs and brisket for $10.50 without any sides. But, it was barely enough to fill me. I am sure there's cause to consider divorce for this sort of interference in my pursuit of happiness.

At any point did you reasonably explain to her that you need more meat?

    *gasp*
That is definitely very unreasonable. I think in the future you should order whatever you want.

Life is hard sometimes.... (cue old negro spirituals, really sad country, and blue blues).

    I find music helps.

And a trip to the butcher for at least $37 worth of steak...

Oh hell naw. Grounds would be "unreasonable cruelty" and I'd back you 100%.

We have 4 Rivers (I call it 4 Ribbers) and they have a similar platter. Granted, it's enough meat for me for a week, but NOBODY tells me I can't have all the meat I want.

And cheese. I will cut a beach over cheese.

Tonight she did let me make myself ribeye, scallops, and shrimp for dinner. So, I guess all is forgiven. LOL

True that. My kids take their lives in their own hands everytime they try to take my cheese. I don't care how cute they are! Not my cheese.

That sounds wonderful! Can we come over to yours for dinner?
