Cold BPC?? Which one of you.....

...told me it would be fine if it was blended first? Hmm??? I tried it. Made my BPC last night in the blender and then poured it into my cups and put it in the refrigerator overnight. Sure, it tastes good, and most of the coconut oil and butter stayed mixed in, but there are CHUNKS of oil/butter sitting on the top. I almost gagged on my way to work when I got a mouthful of chunks in my coffee. Blah. I put it in the microwave at work and added some freshly brewed coffee to it and it's tolerable now... but how do you guys/gals do it? I know someone here had been successful at making iced BPC.

I blend mine in the morning hot then pour over ice or blend ice in to it. If you put it all blended in the fridge some of the oils will separate out. I have one of those big bottles for making protein shakes in so I fill that with ice then pour the hot liquid over it and it ices it. that was nothing separates. if you make it the night before then you can just blend it again in the morning and it should take care of anything that separated.0

I was trying to save myself time. I guess I'll keep doing it in the morning. I prefer it hot anyway.0

I mean, it's water and oil, what did you think would happen?0

Diana,
I make this at night: http://www.healthfulpursuit.com/recipe/chocolate-hemp-shake/
Using melted coconut oil in place of the hemp oil, and blend it, then refrigerate it. It does not separate back out. Maybe you need to melt them before blending?
^ also makes rocket fuel lattes you might give a look see to see what works for you!
I just remember the primal iced coffee thing, but that had the eggs in it...

Well, yeah, of course you are right... but there was a discussion on here where people said that if the BPC were made/blended while the coffee was hot that it wouldn't separate back out. But mine did. Not entirely, but somewhat. That's what I get for trusting people instead of science.0 -
Okay, so I'm not sure about the hemp seeds thing, but this looks divine: http://www.healthfulpursuit.com/recipe/dairy-free-pumpkin-spice-rocket-fuel-latte/0

The hemp seeds are just like chia seeds or flax seeds - just another thing that has protein and stuff. From what I can tell, they don't taste like much. I got them in that area on my baking aisle at WM. I tried the little packet first, but I love it...0

I pour mine over ice right after mixing too. Yuck to the chunky coffee!0

I do some keto icecream, chill my coffee and make iced coffee. Other than that, I drink my BPC hot!

Dare I ask, what is BPC? I add coconut oil to my one coffee I have each day but other than that I have no idea what you are all talking about and would love to know.0

Found the answer in Ditto Dan's blog ☺️ Thanks Dan.0

Hey @Jobeth1961, glad you found the answer! I've found that there is usually an answer here somewhere here. Dan's blogs are great and the Launch Pad too. Awesome resources available here. Don't hesitate to ask questions though, because you are likely helping others too!0

Anyone know what would happen if I replaced the coconut milk with heavy cream/goats milk? It sounds delicious, but fridge is taken up with gallons upon gallons of goat milk....0

In basic bullet proof coffee/tea? It should be fine. You probably want a similar carb/fat ratio, but aside from that, most of the time they will tell you most things can be substituted.... if you're talking about the HP recipe, she says frequently that non-dairy milks are easy subs. If the goats milk is lower in fat, you might add back some coconut oil or something. Other than that, I'd say it is a taste/preference thing.0
