Weight loss mostly. Also eating low carb/low sugar. Generally, when one reduces carbs, one increases fats and oil.

Eat foods with a low glycemic index and also lower carbs & sugar. You can do!

According to my doctor, increasing activity can help too. Since I have lost weight and have been walking consistently my numbers have dropped. I was close to being pre-diabetic.

No magic bullets, but losing weight, exercise, eliminate starchy carbs as much as possible including sugars, of course. My husband was diagnosed in Feb. he has to take insulin, but with change in diet and exercise, he has gotten his a1c to almost normal range.

so far by eating healthy food & watching portion sizes, as well as regular exercise, I've brought my blood sugars down to normal for the first time in years! I'm on day 125 & am down 56 pounds got around 60 more to go.

you can do it! Eating better helps reduce sugar and insulin spikes and exercising helps your muscles be able to use your natural insulin better.
