Oops. I bumped myself out of ketosis (I think) for the first time. I ate way too many nuts and xylitol sweetened chocolate chips last night. To be hobest, I think my carbs have been a bit high, so I felt snacky; combine that with a bit of fatigue and I ate too much.
I checked a ketostix this morning and it was normal. Oops!
My fasting blood glucose took a hit and jumped up too. Boo.
Today I am even hungrier and more fatigued than yesterday. I actually need to use some willpower again to not eat and snack... I LIKED not needing will power. LOL
Oh well. I learned my lesson. One tablespoon (about) of chocolate chips and 1/3c nut needs to stay my absolute maximum. Three Tbs chocolate chips and 1/2c macacdamia nuts is just a little bit much. Just a little. LOL
So hungry...

This happens to me sometime when I eat out. It is not hard if you get right back.0

I purposely did it last night for the first time. Almost 3 months in and I have never strayed even a bite from my pre-planned meal tracker. Hubby and I had a hell of a week (and didn't celebrate our anniversary last week), so we decided to purposely eat grains and see how we react, he wants to for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sweet. Lord. Now I know. We were shocked to see how high our levels were on the ketonix at about the 20 hour mark (still very good, he was just a smidge under his regular levels, I was a bit better than his but that's much lower than my usual), because we feel so sick. I'm assuming it's from the wheat since we're back in (still in) ketosis. It's been 26 hours now and I still feel like crawling into bed for the next week LOL.0

Ketostix only measure waste urine ketones, they don't measure ketosis itself.0

Good point. I had about 55 g carbs that day, and most of it was in evening... Who knows. I'm still hungry but I'm avoiding carbs today yet still letting myself snack. I'll be back on track right away.110challenge wrote: »I purposely did it last night for the first time. Almost 3 months in and I have never strayed even a bite from my pre-planned meal tracker.
