Up another pound. :/ I'm hoping the new challenge helps get things going the other way. I hate it when I start getting close to the next weight "decade". It's so discouraging.

Light, I found the active minutes on my iPhone. Thank you..but I still can't find where it breaks down fat burning vs. active. (I can be quite tech dumb :p )

The weight-in thread was here. Thanks Sheesh!

    SW: 156
    WBL: 146.2
    LW: 145.0
    TW: 143.4

I am so afraid that I will wake up tomorrow and find myself back at 145 or 146. I won't believe this until I'm below 144 for at least two to three weeks in a row. Honestly, my weight varies so much day to day, and I've said it before, but after a good day, it seems to go up. This scale really plays with my head. I swear yesterday it was 145.2, and I know I didn't lose 2 pounds over night. (Yes, it's a good scale. Hubby bought me a nicer one than I'd ever buy for myself! :) )

I can vary as much as 5 lbs in one day, Sarah. Go with how your clothes are fitting and keep on keeping on in spite of the scale :)

Sheesh, on the iPhone fitbit app, go to your heart rate, scroll down. See where it gives you the day? Select the day you want to look at then when it goes to that day, scroll down and it will show you your peak, cardio and fat burning minutes :) The "active minutes" show on the main "page" but the details are under the heart rate :)

Well I am so not together right now...and I don't know where to begin. I'm in a funk that I can't seem to get out of. I'm good for one situation, but then something else happens and BAM...back to the floor I go. So the scale is not looking good. The clothes are getting snugger...so that's not good. The back is out (chiro four times in the past two weeks S1 keeps slipping out - WHEN WALKING or just sitting there). No rhyme or reason. Origination was a car accident several years ago, but it has not moved as much as it has been the past year. Sunday's trail run is in jeopardy so that really doesn't help the mental state. AND it's STILL 105 when I leave work...STINKS! Mental and emotional - horrible state.

So I'm going to save you the wah wah words. We all have challenging times and now is one of mine. headed to chiro when he opens at 10. May need another starbucks while I'm there...(also not helping I'm sure).

Light, thank you!! I finally found the heart rate break down info. Silly me.

Sarah, congratulations! Great loss. And I agree with Lois . . 3,500 calories does not always equal a pound lost. Our bodies like homeostasis, and will adapt to things to keep things the same, same, same. It's so hard, but I think if we keep tricking our bodies by changing things up with the diet and exercise, it's still do-able.

Lois, I'm sorry about your back issues. You certainly are getting more than your fair share of challenges lately. The universe is going to owe you some serious smooth-sailing time. Hang in there lady.

Happy to report 41 active minutes. 0 in peak zone. 16 in cardio zone. 56 in fat burn zone. Meh. Not that great really, but it was on Waikiki beach (virtual), so I can't complain ;) Thanks again Light.

Headed out to a wedding dinner and reception. I'm really going to limit the food . . I promise.

Lois, I agree with Sheesh. You are owed some big time good times. Back issues are so hard because the toll is not just physical but emotional, too. I see this with my sister and hubby now. I hope that you feel better soon. Know that we're all thinking about you and sending you good healing vibes.

Hubby, by the way, had his appointment with a neurosurgeon today and the doc does not want to do surgery yet. He wants him to give the Lyrica some time, and the copay for two pills a day is $240 a month. Ouch!!!

This challenge is a gift, though. I worked until 7 p.m. (sound familiar Light?) and then we had an evening commitment at 8:30, so hubby decided he wanted to eat out rather than have us try to cook and clean and get out the door in a hour. So I quickly put on my shoes and a light jacket (yep-we've gone from balmy to chilly) and we raced out to a little Mexican place. I got steak fajitas and ate only the meat, onions, and peppers, plus a few chips and salsa. I'm hoping it's within my goal.

BUT--and this is what I was getting at--I knew that I have committed to at least 30 minutes of activity a day, so when we got home, I did a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood. I can't upload to make sure because the Bodymedia site is down for the second time this week, but it's kind of damp and chilly so I kept moving at a pretty good pace. I would not have done that had it not been for this challenge.

Mentioning the changing weather, it seems that the hurricane is moving out to sea. Early today, they were saying 7 to 10 inches of rain here on Saturday--but the 11 o'clock weatherman said now it's going to be much less. We dodged a bullet!

Well, I'm going to put my food into MFP so I don't forget what I ate today and call it a night.

Hope Kelly takes a moment to toast the Short N Sassies in some Irish Bar. :p You ladies on Facebook should tell her to do so.

sorry not to have chimed in on anything but finding the activity/fat burn minutes. Busy week with about an hour of overtime each day, plus travel time, I wasn't getting much time for posting. Sarah, you had a good loss for this week. Hope it's holding for you. You did good getting your activity in, too, all except for yesterday. Gotta ask you- why do you dislike the treadmill so much? Have you thought of another inside alternative for when you can't go out to walk? And just a little plug for the fitbit, I'm loving my Surge HR... it's the closest thing I've used to my old BB.

oh, before I forget, my log in day is today :)
    SW 198
    LW 181
    TW 180 :)

Sheesh, I hear you regarding getting to a new scale "decade" and then seeing it go bck up again... have seen that happen over and over, as well as getting to the 175 lb mark only to go up 5 lbs overnight. I'm hoping to push past it this time and keep going.

Kelly looks like she's having a blast and the pictures have been wonderful :) I's going to go much too quickly for her, I fear...

Lois, hope your day is going well.

Now I need to get offa here and get busy getting stuff done (though my cat is very happy to have this lap time :) )
Got most of my food prep done for the coming week :)
