Here we go.... Beautiful fall colors here in Saskatchewan. Took my dog for a walk and enjoyed nature. Finished up my garden today. All the potatoes and carrots are dug in the cold room. Just have the parsnips to go.... but they need a frost to sweeten them up.

Goals for October..... NO Halloween candy!!
- walk - 120 miles - 15 over 10,000.
- get back to strength training (curling starts Nov 1st)
- scrapbooking weekend retreat - prepare myself - organize myself. last year I took too much stuff and ate way wrong!!!0 -
I'm not sure what my October is going to look like. I know eating is going to be bad with the trip! I'm going to try to be good and also to do a lot of active things!! I so look forward to trying all the foreign foods!
For walking, I still haven't decided if I'm going to take my phone with me. If so, my goal is going to be 120. If not, 75. I know that's a huge difference, but I may be missing as many as 10 days.

Thanks so much for getting us started Lilymay! Halloween Candy...yum...not even thinking of bringing any in until the 31st. Then, maybe one treat for the night. I am a candy girl...love it all...especially M&Ms...so I will NOT be buying any of those devils.
I love October...I just do. I'm in the desert of Arizona...and it means soon sweaters for morning walks with the dog. We made it through the summer and now smooth sailing through May. Everyone gets something wonderful where they live! Also, finally back out to BBQ and do so on my new patio...(moved in May, excited to use my little patio as a "bonus room"). It's off the living room, covered and so much better than the last place I lived. There, I had to go outside to get to my patio.
mlh, unplug. I say let the streak go...you enjoy yourself...that is if you stay connected you check face book and all the news and things that will stress you. Just have a vacation...the kind you earned (and paid for). The streak I have going works for me, cuz no vacay...not for another year. (finally benefits with my new job and you had better believe I will take one). Just have a blast and do what you have to do to make this amazing trip spectacular! (my two cents on the subject)

Yay, 4u Lilymay...I just ignore it now...if I start, then the slippery slope begins. I love the SMARTIES...TOOTSIE ROLLS...oh shoot, all of it. So for now, I have some dark chocolate at night ...measured on my food scale to keep me from going nutso. I buy the dark chocolate mini chips...that way they last longer. Crazy I know.
Talk to y'all later. Keep moving...plan and prep those meals. Yahoo...it's FALL! We can do this together.0 -
There is no way my tired little body can make 10,000 steps today. I have canned the tomatoes that were ready, and made a batch of beet pickles... legs are tires from standing....

And scrapbooking...you have great hobbies! Good for you. My hobby is to get to work and come home in one piece. LOL

Wow! Good to see everyone!
We had a good weekend. My numbers aren't as good as they could be, but we got a lot accomplished! Completely packed for vacation. Did all of our laundry so most everything will be clean when we get back and just have vacation stuff to wash. Finally got my dog's things together and took to storage. Did a lot of cleaning in the house. Got the boyfriend to take some of the tools back to his parents' garage (we don't have one! and they've been in my bathroom, spare bedroom, and living room!). My house is looking less like a construction zone!!!

4 - 1.14 (Fitbit was dead when I woke up, then got called to come to work early-1AM-so I went to bed super early, unplanned!) On a high note, though, I'm about 30 minutes away from wrapping my day up! Plenty of running to do today with last minute stuff!!!

5 - 2.76 = 14.66. After my long night, I slept a lot when I got home.
Magic - I work on Thursday, off at 2 PM, then we are leaving sometime late that night/early Friday morning. Haven't really put a time on it (hope to avoid Atlanta during rush hour!). Driving down to Florida and want to do a little tourism before we sail out on Saturday.We get back on Sunday the 18th and will drive home. Going to be a long day to start and finish, but totally worth it!!!

Thanks Vicky! I'm just hoping to make it through the next 2 days of work (7 hours to go today and 8 tomorrow...lol...not that I'm counting!) without losing my mind - I've kind of already checked out.
I also have the sinus crud setting in. Not good.
Hopefully some sea air will clear it up.
6th - 5.1 miles = 19.76 total/2 at 5+
The boyfriend seems to think that if we keep the fitbits charged, they will register our mileage when we get back and upload. Going to try it...charge well before leaving and then hopefully once while gone. We shall see if that works. I feel like the last time we went, it didn't reset between days when I was checking the lights and not doing any kind of uploading - it also died on that trip. My goal, regardless if it works is to use the stairs more than elevators and stay active!! We will definitely have time to relax, but I love sightseeing and have walking tours planned.0 -
