Hello!

I am new to this group today. Hoping to learn a lot about starting a ketonic diet as a lifelong change. I have been tracking my food for a month now--- and not following any way of eating particularly. I read about the ketonic diet this weekend and realized that I was slender for the first 30 years of my life due to eating a ketonic diet.... lots of low starch veggies, proteins (mostly eggs) and good fats, like avocados and butter and one piece of raw fruit per day. I felt good eating like this. Eating grains and pasta made me feel yuck. Fast forward next 10 years, I started eating fast food, cooking fast starchy meals, drinking sodas & coffees to stay awake during long commutes to college and grad school.... I doubled my weight! I quit the junk food and sodas about five years ago and I have been yo-yoing 30 lbs. since. (At least I stopped gaining.) GOAL: lose all the weight with other serious and committed people. Advice welcomed!
