Sounds like everyone is crazy busy!
Hubby graduates a week from Saturday. He's been in school for years, so I'm not sure what we'll do with him actually having time to help out with family and household things. Five years. Five years I've had to run almost everything on my own. Insane. We have a bunch of family flying in that weekend, and my middle kiddo's birthday party is Sunday so I'm basically a bit crazy feeling trying to pull off two parties in one weekend while having the beds and stuff ready for guests. I'm planning on cleaning both the bathrooms this afternoon...showers and all. That way I only need to change the sheets and things the day they get here. My baby niece is coming too, so I need to borrow the pack n play from church as well.
I didn't get up to run this morning. I'm going to do an easy 6 mile run (easy meaning slow) tonight. Hubby and I ended up hashing out some stuff last night. He's been stressed and being a bit volatile and I finally got fed up a bit. Now, normally he's an extrovert and gets upset when I ignore him to dink around on my iPad and stuff. So when he got cranky the past few weeks I had been trying not to do that. Turns out that for the first time in our 11 years of marriage, he was stressed out enough that he wanted to just sit together and not talk and zone out on our technology. But of course he wouldn't say that so when I would sit and try and chat, he would just get sarcastic and rude. Anyway, now that we figured that out, I informed him I can't be a mind reader and he should try just telling me he wants some zone out time instead of resorting to being a jerk. And I get to dink around and do introverted stuff on my iPad guilt free. Go figure. So it all worked out and now I feel much better with the air cleared.
Personal trainer this morning, had a PTO board meeting last night, have a kids camp meeting right after the trainer. Bible study is tonight. I'm going to try making papaya cake. I'll let you know if it's any good!
Happy hump day everyone!0 -
val, I'm jealous of your planned 6 mile easy run. That's what I want to be doing! Sure helps with stress and thinking & planning things out, which it sounds like you could use with the hecticness of what's coming your way!
Well I sound like a broken record, but I am truly exhausted. Again with about 23.5k steps on my step counter. Those are all walking steps (besides occasional trot when late or running for bus). It wouldn't even be a big deal IF I were running, but that's all just walking pretty much all day. Leg still bothers me and have only been sneaking in my calf exercises on curbs on my way between errands, etc. Still doing Dr. visits every day this week. Doing a stress test Friday. That's it for now. Alot of things are falling behind with all these dr. appts, but I've managed to sneak a load of laundry each day, and alot of cooking, too. Desperately need to do some shopping for basics (school lunch, breakfast, etc) as well as some things DH needs from me. Will get to it when I can. STILL looking forward to getting into a groove and daily workouts and all that. Surely things will settle down for me soon.
Hope y'all havin a good one!0
