Hi all!

I am looking to expand my yoga learning & am after some ideas from the hive mind of MFP :)
Books, webpages, Youtube, bloggers are all fair game!!

I've got a couple of books to look at:
The Yoga Tradition: It's History, Literature, Philosophy & Practice
Yoga Body - Mark Singleton
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

I like www.yogajournal.com but I am struggling to find websites that are actually informative & not just selling!!

Tara Stiles (via LiveStrongWomen) on Youtube's videos are really great, her 'inversions simplified' was a MAJOR help.

A few Instagram yoga people I like: biggalyoga, balanceintheburbs, drewosborne, jadealectra, emmie.morton (that's me! But I mostly post pictures of my cats/dog/art!!)

Anyone got anything? :)

WOW those are great. Light on Yoga (it's a fairly large book) is one that I've heard over and over that yoga people and instructors read. I haven't gotten to the point of reading it yet, but I heard it was a good one, also Women's Health makes a great yoga guide, demos (with proper techniques) and sequences it goes on sale at Barnes and Noble from time to time. You can also get dvds online for sequences. I'm not a huge fan of Gaiam yoga dvds, but they are great for just a quick fix for yoga. I like astanga yoga and bikram and hot yoga more than I like the relaxing dvds. It's hard for me to get into the moment with those for some reason... especially when the guy walks out in a speedo... LOL!
