Hey all! It's amazing how we all seem to be going through similar struggles right now! I've actually found it encouraging knowing that I'm not alone in dealing with all the stress and such!
Marla - how's the unpacking? Are you getting settled in?
Laura - Good luck on your Tri workout! What distances are you doing?
Sherry - so the stress test cam back clean. Have they found anything else?
Yesterday was a good day. I got up and ran 8 miles. During that run, I managed to have my fastest 10K (1:13:01), 1K (6:01), and 1 mile (9:52) run I've had since I started using the Nike running app (which I've used for a couple years now). My fastest mile was mile number 7 too, so that really made me feel awesome! I had no real plans. I brought the kids to running club and ran a couple laps with them, then went grocery shopping. Came home and got lunches and dinner ready for youngest and hubby. Took a nap that afternoon. My kitchen was an absolute disaster! So I had my kids pick up, which they did (albeit very slowly, but we had nowhere to go last night so I didn't stress about it. We should all have lazy days! ) After they picked up, I cleaned a bazillion dishes, scrubbed counters, prepped meals for today, made a new chicken tortilla soup for my lunches, and made dinner. My house is at least presentable, food is ready for today, and I'm rested. I call that a win! It's nice to feel back on track. I had several emergency meetings I hadn't planned on, that were excessively long! This week is going to be another crazy week...prepping for guests visiting, hubby's graduation party, and middle one's birthday party. I had a district PTO luncheon this week, picture day volunteering, and my daughter is getting an award during an assembly. But I was panicking because I felt so harried already and didn't want to head into a crazy week already stressed an exhausted. Today I have no plans other than Pilates class this morning. Hoping to actually start on the yard a bit. Maybe get a jump start on some of the cleaning (Wednesday I'll do the bathrooms, but hoping to clean out the hidabed today. That gets disgusting and hubby and I will be sleeping on it next weekend! Or I might just enjoy the day and relax with my kiddos! What a thought!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, so you can be set for another crazy week!0 -
Val yay yay on the run!
Hope you all have a great weekend.
We are going out for breakfast at the bay in Trinidad. I am feeling a bit better, left window open a bit for fresh air seems to help out. My new bedroom gets stuffy fast.
Its overcast and rainy out but just more of a thick mist. I guess near ocean I will get a lot of that.
Going to start packing for trip leaving Wednesday this week, lately I have felt so up and down I figure I had better do things when up! Going to see my younger daughter in Texas haven't seen her in awhile because altitude got me where they were living in Colorado.

Congrats on the great run Val!
Marla how's the new house so far?
Sherry sorry to hear you've got a cold. That's the last thing you need right now.
My workout this morning went well considering how many months it's been since I've done that long of a workout. Jason had me swim 24 lengths of the pool, bike 11.2 miles and run 2.62 miles.I showered at the pool then had to dry my hair when I got home before going out on the bike because it was 46° and breezy so there was a break there, but then I went out & did the bike and run. Used my garage as T2. Ha. I had to walk about 90 seconds halfway through the run but ran the rest.
Jason is past the 17.8 run split at Kona. Watching live coverage on my laptop & am tracking him on my phone. Back to it!0
