Shelley - I'm glad you're okay. That must have been frightening but no doubt you handled yourself well. HBD to your granddaughter!
Chris - kettle bells sound great for next week. Trying to strengthen my shoulders for tennis.
Paula - I noticed the same thing last week...they can't get tighter I've given my bigger clothes away.
Happy Friday!

Uh oh Paula and Kathy! Must put on the brakes for weight increases and throw it into reverse. Uniforms remind a person that they need to stop faster than daily clothing. Mine does anyway. And a new vest is a few thousand. Not something I want to tell the sheriff I need a new one of.
Now way.
Kathy thanks for the well wishes.I do feel my shoulder today. I must use this incident to remind myself why I need to stay in better shape!

Shelley...I posted a kettlebell workout for you! Hope your shoulder is better.
Paula and Kathy...I posted a kettlebell workout for Shelley, but you are both invited to repeat the five exercises three times!!!
Yesterday was a REST DAY from walking but not from 1st grade. The kids came over for dinner. It was a nice evening.
DH and I walked in the dark at 6:00 this morning. We almost managed a 3.0 mile per hour pace. Then I went to the gym w/DDD then DH and I took a bunch of stuff to Shred It. They shredded any size box for $10.00. We had two boxes. The guy...could have carried a surf board...threw the entire box in the shredder...box and all!! Didn't even open it! I was impressed! Picked up Bean this afternoon because the kids are going to the Pumpkin Patch with some friends...pups not allowed.
I only managed 2.32 miles for 5,068 steps yesterday.
So far I have 6.47 miles for 14,128 steps, but it's only 2:00 p.m. No tellin' what the rest of the day will bring, and I did 45 minutes at the gym. A pretty nice day!
Have a grand Sunday everyone!

Ah, I missed the rain
but the roads were still wet. Once around the block got the huffin and puffin and metabolizin into high gear. Need to put the brakes on weight gain!

See you on the flip side.

Paula, I miss the rain, too! It hurts to see everything so parched. Once around the block is good. Something is much better than nothing.
I ended up with 8.72 miles for 19,043 steps yesterday. We took Bean over to the school and threw the ball around for a little bit. Walking w/DH and Bean this morning. Hoping DDD can walk later this morning. DDD and SIL are planning his b'day party for next Saturday and have a lot to do to get ready, so she may not be able to go out w/me.
I'll be back later. Have a good Sunday.

Good morning. Next to last match of the season today. Our fate is in our own hands...we will probably make the playoff but we also have a chance to take the division. We're only 1 point out of first. Our goal is to take all 5 this week and again next week. Then it will be a waiting game until all scores are posted.
My doubles partner and I have a personal goal. We are 4-0 and want to finish the season undefeated. Also, if my team wins the division we get a ALTA bag tag...the ultimate for Atlanta tennis players...bragging rights.
I will report back later.
Have a great Sunday

My team took all 5 matches today. My doubles partner and I won 7-5 & 6-0. I final week that will determine playoffs. We are still one behind but we are feeling confident. Raise your Pom Poms high.
8,898 steps for 3.65 miles0 -
Pom Poms Up! Shake to the left...Shake to the right...Shake your booty...Scream with Delight!!!
Way to go, Kathy!! Congratulation!!

Walked w/the boys this morning then went to 1st grade then went shopping all over town because one store does not have everything I need!! But it was a good day! We did not go to the gym. DDD had too much to do. They are prepping for SIL's b'day this Saturday.
I found a new protein bar...Atkins Harvest Trail Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar. Pretty good taste-wise. I need to take something small to 1st grade. I only eat about half my lunch before I go and sometimes that's not enough. We'll see. I'm worried about tummy rumbles though.
170 cals 110 fat cals 13g fat 13g carbs 8g protein 9g fiber
I managed 8.0 miles for 17,447 steps.
Hope everyone is having a grand day! Tomorrow my friends!
