This thread starter was pretty true for me (although I definitely do not look like the picture they used with the quote). People thought I was crazy when I first started doing triathlons and such, now I get asked a lot about how I got started and things. Pretty nifty.

Sherry - I am actually having my mom and dad help a lot. My mom is coming today to help me clean the bathrooms and such for the family that is coming and staying with us over the weekend. They're going to pick up the food too, and help decorate before the parties. Planning on having my sister in law help with the cupcakes on Saturday night. Overall, it shouldn't be too awful. Hope you start feeling better! All that walking/running with a cold has got to be crazy miserable!

    Marla - have safe travels!

Laura - I hear the temp is dropping up there now. Yuck. It's supposed to hit a record high of 102 today...and then drop to the 80s after that. Finally hitting the time of year I love down here!

Have my personal trainer this morning. Helping my mom clean, and going to try to finish a lot of the big yardwork projects. I had a district PTO luncheon for an hour right in the middle. The kids have picture day so I have to spruce them up a bit this morning.

Last night hubby and I went for a late night hike that was pretty nice. I also made a new chicken recipe that was made with a bunch of veggies and it turned out well.

    Well, off to the craziness!

Hi again. Still lil ole sick me. Somehow worse today. Lil girl is testing me in every way she can too. It's just that age I guess. I slept a lot today. Headache is pretty bad and cough is getting worse. :( Skipped Sons TKD, which is the plan to give him and us a break midweek (class finishes late and makes for late bedtime). Still got plenty of walking today, I think 15000+ last time I xpchecked. I desperately want to feel great again and start doing something with my days, like the gym and housework.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Marla have a great trip!

Thread starter reminds me I had a lot of people ask how I lost so much weight, and several of them were visibly disappointed when I said I moved more and ate less - I think those people (who typically were overweight themselves) wanted me to let them know I found some magic solution. Nope.

I got out for a 3 mile run this morning - my longest continuous run since my injury (a couple weeks ago I ran 2.75). I was surprised after to see how slow my pace was, but I was trying to run at an easy pace so I guess I succeeded. This was my first sunrise run in ages. I've been evening running all summer, and now it's still dark out when I leave for work. Was nice to be out early dawn. It was 44° so nice brisk running weather.

Busy travel day. Stopped in Santa Rosa to get supplies at Home Depot. Then had lunch with older daughter. Was going to take Bart to Berkeley but started feeling faint at station. Hadn't eaten since breakfast weird how it got to me.

We left and found place close to hotel. Italian. I ordered small ravioli plate. Glad we came here. I am fine now. My body is all over the place. Will talk to new doc at appt when we get back.

Exercise was walking all over Home Depot.
