And here we go into the second half of October...the year just picks up speed as we race to the finish line. Let's stay together as we finish off these last couple of months and have a great start to the new year.

    Goal for October: 100 miles

    Week 1 = 25.95

    Week 2 = 26.05

    October goal - 120 miles - 15 over 10,000 steps.
    Week 1 - 27 miles (2 over 10,000)
    Week 2 - 30 miles (total 4 over 10,000)

    Oct 15 - 4.9 miles - 10714 steps (5/15)

    Lots of gardening at mom's yesterday, dug potatoes & carrots, rolled up water hoses and got ready for the mowing and yard clean up bee on Saturday. My back is a little out of sorts today so it will be a lighter physical day... I will get my walk in and then head off to a card making class.

    Oh gosh...I would love to join you in card making class...have fun! Also in the garden...just a patio here...but at least I have a patio...enclosed...treating it as a bonus room. HAGD, Lilymay!

    I hope we are finished in mom's yard for this year. And I hope my brothers keep their "stuff" on their own properties from now on. This is the second time we have done this cleanup and they complained about having to do it. So I told them to just not put their "stuff" there and they wouldn't have to move it. 'nuf said!!

    Today ... need to do some outside cleanup, get some perennials planted and some buried in sawdust for the winter. Beets and parsnips to come in.... and the last of the tomatoes to can. Best part... I get to out for supper so I have to be done all this by 5 p.m.

    Wow...looks like i missed a lot. We got back late last night. Today has been spent sleeping and running errands so far. 10 days gone and the post office only had 2 pieces of mail saved. Going to have to track down the rest...Probably in the box, haven't checked since they weren't supposed to be delivering.

    We are also both sick after getting back. Boo.... Back to work tomorrow and i will log my miles. The fitbit worked and uploaded everything when we got back to the states!! Can't wait to see the total!

    Welcome to DJ...I think it was. And amazing family history Lilymay! Great motivation to keep moving as much as you can!!!

    OK kids...back to work and able to type from a desktop and not mobile! Was not at all ready to be back!!!

    Here's the update from vacation:

    as of the 7th, 24.85 miles with 2 at 5+

    8 - 3.02 (work and sleep to prepare for drive)
    9 - 4.57 (15 hours spent in the car, but still managed some serious steps at rests - and we went to the beach when we arrived to our hotel)
    10 - 7.04 (did some touristy stuff and then boarded and checked out the ship)
    11 - 5.65
    12 - 5.09
    13 - 5.78 (St. Maarten - If you've never seen/heard of Maho beach, look it up! We were able to stand at the side of the beach and get a picture of a 747 just 60 or so feet off the ground!)
    14 - 4.97 (St. Kitts - we did a rail excursion, so less walking about. I was only 14 steps from hitting my 5 miles!!!)
    15 - 6.96 (San Juan - amazing city! Very hilly! Can't wait to go back!)
    16 - 5.99 (Grand Turk - we just meandered about the port area)
    17 - 5.38
    18 - 3.57 (Long drive home with many stops due to being sick)
    19 - 1.25 (Lots of sleep/recovery and charged the fitbit for a few hours)

    Wow that was long! Here's the total numbers:

    Total Miles = 84.12, 7 days at 5+ :) Pretty happy with those numbers. 12 days to go, hitting 120 for the month should be a breeze!

    Thanks Magic!! Weary is right! I'm still trying to get caught up on sleep. The sickness isn't helping! Another rough day yesterday, but I'm working to get on track. Still have my sea legs and it feels like everything is swaying.

    20th - 2.01 = 86.13 miles, 7 at 5+

    Thanks everyone! I actually went to my ENT yesterday and got some additional meds. Hopefully on the mend. Do feel better for the most part, just really clogged up in my ears!!! (And still have the sea legs, but kept those for about 3 weeks last time!!!
