Apparently I am a knucklehead

I was reading an article to my husband about open water swimming, and made a crack about if I hadn't finished the Lake Memphremagog swim last summer, it really would have been because I was I didn't know what I was getting into.

"That was an important day. It was the day you became one of those insane knuckleheads," he said solemnly.

I was quick to point out I am still very much a wanna be in terms of marathon swimming, but he insists I am still an insane knucklehead.

I'd threaten to tip his kayak over the next time we're doing an open water session, but then I lose my escort. I guess I have to endure the knucklehead comments, huh?

YESSS! YOU ARE A KNUCKLEHEAD! Wear it proudly! Have it emblazoned on a T-shirt or your swim cap! OWN IT!!!! And while you're at it, get him a shirt for his escort kayak that says "I'M PROUD TO BE WITH MY KNUCKLEHEAD!"

In my area, only someone with a death wish would not train with a kayak escort. Too many boats on the water. And trying to swim with a 6 foot tall flag pole isn't much fun :D

LMAO. My husband is actually pretty tickled by my swimming. I think he would love that shirt.

Well that's one of his stocking filler presents sorted then.....

Presumably he actually enjoys his kayaking too? (As well as being supportive!)
