What to do...

This group has been great for what it has been and hopefully we all got a little something worthwhile out of it, especially figuring out what to do after the BLBC ended. But it's been a fragile existence from the beginning in that we started off with a very small core and as time went on, we lost members along the way with no one else joining us. The activity has been sporadic the past few weeks and I don't see it improving anytime soon. I'll always value those I've been with on this journey, starting with the Biggest Loser Bootcamp until now and I do hope we can stay connected in some fashion.
I've been trying to get back to working out again and I've been doing some of the DB365 workouts. Some of the trainers have been fabulous whereas some of them I haven't really cared for, but it's a great way to spend 30 minutes working out. Eventually, I would like to begin my day with a DB365 workout and then possibility do some other physical activity. My buddy who I went backpacking with this past summer has been doing a daily run and I've been seriously thinking about joining him, although running every day doesn't really appeal to me at the moment. But I need to do something to break out of the funk I'm in so who knows. My good news is that I found a doctor that can see me in a couple weeks so hopefully, I can get some shoulder healing going soon.
I'm open to continuing keeping this group going but it's really up to you ladies. Maybe we can make a single open thread that remains open to people posting whenever they feel like it, as oppose to once a week checkins.

I agree Scott - this group has been great. I really do love hearing from you and Debbie and wish we hadn't lost Rudy and Hysteria2... I vote for just keeping the group open with the open thread for periodic check-ins. I apologize that I haven't been as active in here the past few weeks as I used to be! My only excuse is that between work, and really ramping up my workouts, I've not had a ton of free time. I had a major project that completed this past weekend at work, so I will be trying to check in more frequently now!
I had joined another group on MFP that I saw called 'Lose 10 lbs in 10 weeks' about 11 weeks ago. I joined it because it popped up in the community threads and at that time, I had 10.6 lbs left to go to goal so I thought 'why not?' - hoping it would help to get me to goal. In that 10 weeks, I did lose 9.6 lbs and almost got to goal. That group had a lady that would post an exercise challenge each week and I really liked that aspect of it. After the 10 weeks was done, that lady invited me to be part of another 'exercise only' challenge that is based on the HBO Series Game of Thrones. It's also 10 weeks long and we are in week 2 right now. I don't watch that show - but you don't have to to participate - it's just an exercise goal that's posted each week that you have to meet in order to earn your team points. Anyways, challenges like that seem to motivate me - do you think something like that might work for you Scott? There's also a Facebook group for the DB365'ers you can join...

As to the GoT exercise challenge - I'm not sure if you can join when we're already underway. I wish I had posted about this 2 weeks ago! But if you're interested, I will find out for you. Even if you couldn't join this round, you could get in for the next one.0 -
I vote to keep staying in touch. I have a lot of weight to lose. In the past few weeks I just haven't been there. I really am not happy with daily burn so I put them on hold for a while. So this week I am in a challenge with my fitbit group, going to track what I eat and plan all my meals. So starting tomorrow this week I am getting up at 5:15 to workout with my tapes before work.0

Sorry I've been away for a while (again).... hopefully you are still going strong Debbie! Getting up at 5:15 is pretty foreign to me!
That group sounded pretty cool Kristine. How's the Games of Thrones type thing going? I don't watch the show but I do know a lot of characters die so hopefully that group isn't that intense!
Challenges might work... I really enjoyed when I had my two close buddies all connected thru Up but they have moved on to Garmin trackers and I'm still putting up with Up. Although, the new Garmin Vivosmart HR is what I'm going to get when it comes out. I saw that DB365 FB group so maybe I'll join that too and ping me when the next round/group starts up.0
