Sherry - those are incredibly long days! I'm glad you survived! I'm in the same boat for groceries...down to pretty much nothing so a shopping trip is in order this morning!

April - glad to hear you're doing better!

Well, my brain is still struggling to remember simple things. Being an introvert, I notice it gets like this for me when I haven't had much time for myself. It's slowly getting better, but I feel a little out of it still. Parent/teacher conferences today, and only half days at school today and tomorrow. So still a little crazy. Hoping to catch up on shopping today, and to catch up on bills and paperwork tomorrow. Also planning to spend some time with the kiddos painting pumpkins this evening. We all seem out of sorts after the crazy weekend and the kiddos struggle when they don't see daddy. Hoping by the end of this weekend to be back into my normal routine! Been staying up late getting things done and then oversleeping and missing my morning workouts and its a nasty cycle. Race is in three weeks so time to strap in and actually put the work in again. I'm not too worried as I have been training for a while and just have had a bad week this week. But I still need to pull myself out of the post craziness slump. I also seem to be addicted to sugar again. I keep craving sugary things, which I wasn't before this weekend. All it takes is a few days of cake and goodies and my body starts craving it.

Well, have a great day everyone!

Val, I'm stuck in a cycle too. I had in my head today exactly what I need to do, but I just can't get through all the other demands.

Today I had to attend a hearing for our parent association to try to overturn a national law that took away our kids nearest high school. It's kinda important and has taken a long time just to get to the point that it's being heard in federal court. Anyway, on the way there, it came a terrible flash flood of proportions I can't even describe. Afterwards I met with some parents, then it was onto my usual crazy day (with a little extra crazy thrown in wrt son's teacher. Sigh.) Rainy school and tutor pick up and all that. Shopping. Cooking dinner, which the kids barely ate. And finally...my son with a nasty fever that might keep him home tomorrow. I'll be checking his temp every few hours tonight. I just can't get my head above water on the day-to-day stuff. But I really need to put some weight workout into my day somehow and go from there. Keep hoping next week will be better, but thngs keep getting crazier. Talked to DH to make sure that the plan is that when he gets back he will be doing all this stuff with the kids to give me a break and give the, some time together. That is the plan. Just a couple more weeks.

I remember typing a message here earlier today. Obviously I didn't actually post it. It's been a busy week and I'm feeling scattered. I had a dentist appointment mid morning to get a cavity filled and that broke up the day since I worked 2-1/2 hours before having to head out for it.

I did a 2 mile trail run after work, then had my session with Jason. It was a beautiful Minnesota fall evening and I ran a trail I haven't been on recently so it was a nice change. It runs alongside a river & it's a dirt trail with a couple smaller fallen trees to leap over. Keeps things interesting.

Sherry have you managed to declutter at all while your husband is gone, or have you been too busy?
