Hey everyone! Glad to hear that we all seem to be getting back on track after a rough week or two. It's funny how our lives seem to be matching in some ways. :). It's supposed to be a full moon and Halloween this week so maybe that's part of the craziness.

I got everything set again. Youngest is still running a fever. Skipped birthday party, and had to come home instead of attending second service at church. My parents came up in the evening and watched the kids so I could teach a class. My dad also fixed our toilet with the broken seal so no we have two functioning toilets again. I used all the time I skipped things to catch up on a backlog of e-mails and small tasks. So I feel less stressed. Today I'm getting a quick four mile jog in. Normally I swim Monday mornings, but with youngest one still sick he can't go to school and can't go to the Y with me. Planning instead to get caught up with our bills and filing this morning. Our pastor is gone this week so probably won't have a staff meeting tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to head in to the Y and swim tomorrow instead.

I've been slacking because of all the stress. The past two weeks have been overwhelming so I stopped counting calories and yesterday and Saturday I was stuffing my face with junk. Not non stop but it definitely was not good food choices being made. I'm planning to start weighting myself every day again as some accountability. On top of measuring myself on Saturdays. I'm also going to focus on getting all my training in this week. Now that all the crazy events are done, hubby is back to a normal schedule, and no more school for him...I need to focus on getting back into a good routine. So no excuses, just going to get it done! I'm excited to get back on track after all this!

    Have a great day everyone!

Reading your post Laura I realized I have been going through same thing, Nia was my stress relief and since my move I have been struggling to find something to take its place. Its hard when you really fall in love with something you believe is good for you in a lot of ways.

Walking by ocean is ok, hiking is ok, but neither come close to what I feel for Nia and I think that is how most of you are with running.

And yes I was in path of storm, up most of the night scared of the high winds. We took another uber to Frenchman where music was, pouring rain whole night and windy. Decided even in good clothes to walk home since its a 10 min walk, but was crazy in the weather, we were drenched when we got here, i had to take shower from all the dirty puddles i walked through.

Today its all calm, only chance of rain in afternoon. If home I wouldn't have been afraid, but this area had tornado watch and i would have had no idea of where to go.

Glad things are settling down Val.

Marla I hope you can find something like Nia that satisfies that same need for you. It's exactly like you describe - there are other options, but they're just not the same.

I did my PT exercises, 30 minutes on the AMT at the highest resistance I use (both the longest time & highest resistance since April - I have been using lower resistance because it had been hurting my leg), and then an hour with Jason. My workout schedule is going to be messed up this week but I'm going to make the best of the workouts I can do.
