^ This is pretty true for me! Love getting new workout stuff! :)

Yesterday was very productive. As I suspected, no swim because of sick youngest one. His temp is down to 101 without meds. Hoping a good night sleep has set him up so that his temp will be normal this morning. I slept in a little bit. Partly because I started having a migraine yesterday afternoon (took my meds for it and it went away but left me feeling drained and shaky). Also because I wanted to use the indoor bike to track my bike cadence and make sure I'm peddling fast. I tend to get lazy on my road bike and coast a lot. But I want to get more than 30 minutes in which is all I would have if I went before getting the kids to school. I'm hoping to duck out either this morning if we don't have staff meeting...of briefly this afternoon.
In other news, I got all my paperwork and bill paying and filing done. So all those pesky letters and other things that have been sitting there have been taken care of which is a huge stress relief. I also was actually able to follow somewhat of a routine which was exciting after 2 weeks of chaos! I'm struggling with eating at the moment. Constantly craving sugar and junk. I think I'm going to have to have a detox from it. Pretty sure the stuff is addictive because if I have a weekend where I consume large quantities of sugary desserts and snacks, then I constantly crave more. Once I get over it, I can have a cookie here or there and be fine. It's weird. So hoping to keep up with a good routine first...and that my eating will come back into line. Part of the problem was I forgot I ran out of soup for lunch and had to make more. So I ended up not eating lunch until 2 which meant a lot of snacking until it finished. Just some poor planning on my part.

Marla - I hope you find something like Nia. I totally relate to needing something to de-stress.

Laura - I laughed this morning when I saw your anti-social Laura post. I have days like that too. Yesterday afternoon while I was recovering from my migraine I had a bunch of moms trying to chat with me while I picked the girls up and I couldn't even pretend to be interested. I'll have to apologize today when I see them. ;)

Hi. Slowing down. Ready to come home. Just a few days left. My feet are sore from the constant walking on hard uneven streets.

I feel like that saying too much of a good thing. Hard to complain about great food and music. :p

At least rain with wind is gone. Cloudy day in low 70's so perfect weather.

Looking for a canvas bag to bring home stuff we bought. I got a cool mask on a stick, few shirts, cute magnets. Hubby bought me pretty necklace for anniversary. Cute apron for daughter who actually wears them and cooks everything homemade. That is daughter I saw in Texas. And she is better over her cold.

I bought new running gear today! My race packet on Saturday had a $10 off $50 purchase to a local running store, so I stopped there after work to look for a new outer layer for running when it's dark/cold. Found one I liked, the price was more reasonable than what I expected considering where I was shopping, and I happily came home with it. Guess who didn't use the $10 coupon? It's good through the end of the year and at some point before then I won't have a problem buying stuff. I don't typically buy my shoes there but they have a much better selection of clothes & gear than my usual store does; plus they do carry the shoes I like so I could get them there. Most of my running gear I buy at Target (I like the Champion brand), but the jacket I bought tonight is something I had to go to more of a specialty store for. The fabric over the front & back of the torso is reflective & wind resistant, there's a vent flap in the back, the fabric under the arms & along the sides of the body breathes, and then it's got longer sleeves with thumb holes.

On the way home I stopped & did my planned 2.5 mile run. My trainer used to live in South Dakota and still trains some triathletes remotely. He's trying to test out a free software training program but mentioned last night he's sent it to 4 people and none of them have gotten the email link so he wanted to test it out on me. He sent me the link today, I signed up for a free account, and I linked it to my Garmin Connect account. After my run when I synced to my phone it automatically transferred the data to the software, and then I went in on the app and made a couple of notes about how it went, so when Jason goes in he can see why my second mile was so much slower (it's because twice I had to walk, finally realizing I was way over-dressed so once I pulled a layer off I felt much better). I had on a short sleeved tech shirt & lightweight tech pullover that I originally intended to run in, then pulled on my new jacket...because it's new. In the software I can put in my planned workouts, Jason can make adjustments or notes, etc. He didn't know I could connect my Garmin (he's only seen it from the coach software) so he was excited about that. It also connects with Fitbit or Withings.
