On the road, so I can't do much more than post the link here. But, cutting carbs worked better than cutting fat in this Harvard study.

About time. I've been tricked all my life that low fat works. Instead I've very slowly put on weight til morbidly obese. I've just considered I was a failure and would always be over weight. My body just wouldn't do it.
But this article is a good read on the cover-up we have all been brought up on.
In 19 weeks lost 25kg (55lb) on LCHF.

It's good to see more published studies on LCHF. This may not be the best, but is a great conversation starter! The "comments" are the usual. Read them for a laugh too!

    Thanks for posting @Fit_Goat!!

Jeff Volek just send out an email about this. It was a metastudy. Pretty astounding:

    http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0139817

The probability of greater weight loss associated with low carbohydrate was >99% while the reduction in predicted risk favoring low carbohydrate was >98%.

99% probability of greater weight loss with low carb. Wow.

I think over the next 10+ year the low fat craze will be behind us but doubt a true low carb way will follow if it hurts $$$ sales of processed foods.

Processed foods will never go away. They are simply too easy to buy and most people are Dependant on them. But I do think that the Low Carb way of life will become more mainstream as more and more people discover the health benefits.

This is great to see, though I'm surprised there wasn't a bigger difference between the two groups.
