I wasn't as consistent in October as I had hoped, but overall it was a pretty good month.

The sun was supposed to come out today, but the forecast changed to being cloudy all day. I set up my bike trainer in the livingroom this morning. It isn't raining out but it still feels damp & I felt chilled when I went to get my bike out of the shed and put my outdoor furniture away for the winter. It should be good running weather, but I was really hoping to see the sun today. It's been gloomy all week and that's definitely impacting my mood.

Marla - that sounds like a cute idea to give your neighbor kids that! Glad you are getting settled in!

Laura - hopefully they find out what's going on! What levels were they concerned about? I think our modem is slowly dying as well. Our internet has been getting slower and slower and slower. We'll probably have to look into that soon.

Well, I went swimming on Friday and got a good workout in then. Yesterday morning I did my long run. I was supposed to do 12 miles, but I overslept and only had 2 hours. Managed to keep up a 10:30 pace (11:15 was my average with all the walking) and finished in 2 hours! I was ecstatic as I usually maintain at 12:30 pace average. Hoping I continue to improve my pace.

We had the family over and went trick or treating. I managed to keep the amount of candy I ate down to 5 pieces. Which for me is fantastic. I bringing all but one bag of candy to church today to have our kids programs use. Get it out of the house! After we went trick or treating, middle child complained her head hurt. Took her temp and during the evening had spiked to 102. So of course, 2 weekends ago oldest child got sick. Last weekend youngest child got sick, and now it's middle child's turn. We're 99% certain it's something called fifths disease. A virus that only hits kids, a rash that isn't itchy or contagious shows itself after several days of fevers on their face and chest, and then they're better. It has an incubation period of 6-7 days which fits our family. So looks like I'm missing most of church....again. Will probably have to cancel the evening class I teach as I can't leave middle child home alone. *sigh. She'll probably be missing school the next couple of days as well. I'm hoping she's better by Wednesday as this thing seems to take about 3 days to run its course.

Rest day today. Last week until my big race! I'm doing one long bike, one open water swim practice, and a couple runs. But keeping it low key to give my muscles some recovery before Sunday. Then no more biking or swimming for a few months! I'll just focus on strength training and running for my marathon in January!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

The rain didnt come till middle of night so kids were out and we had fun givng them candy dressed up and mike had a gun that made a funny sound and had spiral things lit up like a rainbow when you turned it on.

I cleaned my messy room today, huge job, from trip, laundry, and just stff everywhere. I listened to audio book while i cleaned feel good now.

Then went on trail for 3 miles, ocean really crashing today and air so clean after rain.
