To get away from the WINS type of thread and maybe just do a monthly deal, I thought I would start out with the bland title of what you see above.
Anyways, it's a new month (okay a couple days into the month) and it's good to be writing here again. I've been doing the DB365 workouts when I can and I would say I've done around 50% of them during the week for the past few weeks and I really like some of the workouts and put up with the others. But I like how it's a different thing each day. My favorite trainer so far is Gregg with Prince as a close second but I really enjoyed Erika's workout today. This week, I'm going to strive to do them each day and continue that into next week. I'm glad to have done these workouts because all the Halloween candy that I just happened to consume needed to be burned off, as I'm pushing 230 on the scale. I've also enjoyed Kristine's photos on twitter related to the DB365 program... she's definitely rocking it!
Oh my health front, I'm finally seeing a doctor about my shoulder on Friday and I'm really looking forward to see what the outcome of that is. I'm also having surgery on my left pinky finger on Veteran's day and will be out of action for a little over a week until I get my stitches out. I've been dealing with Dupuytren's contracture for a few years now and it's time to go under the knife since the other types of treatments haven't really worked. I'm actually looking forward to it so I can get better and maybe be able to put my left hand flat on the ground so it will be a bit easier to do planks and pushups and that sort of thing. Up until now, I've been either on my fingertips or my knuckles whenever I've done pushups or planks.
Winter has finally reached the California mountains with a great dump of rain and snow yesterday! I got over 2 1/2" of rain at my place and the mountains received over a foot of snow. I just hope it doesn't warm up and melt everything like that past few years when we get a nice start and then nothing. It shouldn't with Godzilla El Nino or whatever they are calling it but you never know.

Update on my shoulder.... X-Ray showed that a possible bone spur is starting to form. The doc gave me a cortisone shot and prescribed PT, which I start next week, the day after I get the stitches removed from my hand. My shoulder is actually feeling a little bit better just from the shot so I'm looking forward to seeing what effect PT will have.0

Hope everything went ok today. How is the shoulder?0

Things went real well! For some reason, I woke up in the middle of the procedure (I had a lot of local blockers in my arm/hand and sedated) and told the anesthesiologist that I could really go for some BBQ! He laughed a bit and said that he was putting me back under because I was making him hungry!
My followup is on Thursday and I should be getting my splint off and stitches taken out. I haven't worked out any this past week so I'm itching to get back to it.
My shoulder is feeling a bit better and I start some PT on Friday. Hopefully I can get back to normal kick butt workouts soon!0 -
Sounds like it went well, I too hope you start PT soon!!0
