Marla & Val - thanks for holding down the fort this week!

It was a long & exhausting week and I didn't feel well most of it, but things are turning around.

Monday I got my replacement router so I have Internet again. I just did a short walk on the treadmill then had my hour with Jason.

Tuesday I did ZMix over lunch, worked late to make up the time, then went to my niece's house for a Norwex party.

Wednesday I had an ultrasound on my gallbladder, liver & pancreas. It wasn't scheduled until 7:00 pm (at the hospital), and my bosses (who are also friends) were out of town so I went to their house after work to check on/feed their cat and then hung out there for a couple of hours snuggling with her. I wasn't sure where I was going at the hospital so I got there early, and ended up getting in early, so the test was done & I was out of there by 6:45.

Thursday morning my doctor's office called to say the ultrasound results were normal. Such a relief! So the doctor is back to thinking it was the Prozac, but it was good to rule out the other options since a couple of my labs were elevated. The doctor still isn't sure why those are elevated although she said it can happen in people slightly overweight (ironic it would happen after I lost so much weight) or on birth control. I spent a week tapering off Prozac and am off it completely as of yesterday. My stomach gets a little better every day, which is encouraging. Still not normal but at least there's progress. Prozac has a half life of 4-16 days so my doctor wants me to go 2 weeks without taking anything to let it clear out of my system and make sure that really was what was causing my issues. Someone from the clinic will call me in a couple weeks to see how I'm feeling and whether that fixed it or if we need to look deeper. Anyway, I had my session with Jason on Thursday night, then a friend stopped by to borrow a jacket and ended up staying past the time when I'd typically be in bed. It took me another hour after she left to wind down enough to sleep.

Friday I took my usual rest day. I was more exhausted than I can even tell you - both physically & emotionally. After work I ran a few errands then just came home & chilled.

Marla I feel so bad about the fleas! What a nightmare that sounds like to deal with. We get fleas here but winters aren't hospitable here so they're not pervasive. Once you get it cleared out though at least you'll know what steps to take to keep them away. I've never heard of spraying outdoors either.

Val good luck with your race tomorrow! Have fun! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

I hope Sherry is doing okay -- she had so much going on last time she checked in.

Hi all, I know Laura I have never heard of spraying outside either but I guess its real bad here since the weather is warmer than it used to be with the humidity. I just ordered more of the flea stuff for the cats online same as vet but much cheaper. They said you could only get it thru vet but I was able to get at Pets meds online.

Went for my trail walk yesterday and we are leaving for larger beach outside Arcata where we can walk for miles in a few hours. I did Nia for the first time the other day but got interrupted by hubby calling from Vet and was too depressed to continue.

I am going to figure out a yoga class this week.

Nurse gave us appt with new lady doctor, I hope she is okay. I don't see her until Dec 1. We had long 1/2 hr appts with nurse who asked me about everything. Because there are drugs around my area I have to fill out special form for the 5mg Valium I take rarely, I told her its my last resort pill lol I only take about 1 every 7-10 days so not doing so bad.

Glad they didn't find any problem for you Laura, hope going off med helps and doesn't cause depression problems. I tried a few of those over the years and stopped each time because of side effects were worse than depression I felt.

I just feel lately like a mental case, I know its because i still don't feel settled, but sometimes I feel panicky about new area.

Heh I want to get a sports band or watch what should I get? I just want something that won't feel too tight but tells me steps and maybe checks me out while doing exercise.

Just wanted to say it's Groundhog Day over here. Tried another unsustainable diet and failed. Seriously Laura gave me great advice weeks ago but I guess I do learn everything the hard way.

Also got some labs back and my numbers are :( . Cholesterol, triglycerides, no Bueno. Blood sugar just squeaked under.

Seriously ate pizza, burgers/fries, Halloween candy today. Oh and did I mention tom?

Made a healthy, slow-cooker make-ahead meal plan for the week. And have cooked chicken breast in freezer and salad for work lunches.

Just remember: I can always make it worse...
