any suggestions for puréed meals? Smoothies, soups and the like? Usually I rely on pâté for protein when I can't swallow solid food, but even that has been too difficult.

Any smoothie lovers out there with suggestions?

I have a smoothie everyday for lunch. I'm just starting low carb so I'm still getting rid of the bananas and oats I love so much. But once they're gone I obviously won't be adding them anymore. My diary is open

I make avocado smoothies all the time! They're high in fat and fiber and they really delicious.

www.healthfulpursuit.com has some great shake/drink recipes! My favorite is a modified version of the chocolate hemp shake...

    My old go-to smoothie:

    Base:
    2 parts unsweetened almond milk
    1 part heavy cream
    1 part ice cubes
1-2 scoops protein powder (choice of flavor; I prefer the Jay Robb whey protein powders)

    Additives (any combination):
    2-3 tbsp Peanut butter
    1/2 Avocado
handful or two of Spinach or other greens
1-2 squares super dark chocolate or 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder

This came out to about 10-20g grams of carbs, with a fair chunk being fiber, even if you put all of the above in (which I've done once in a while), even for a large batch, and a ton of fat and fair bit of protein. In a good blender, like a Bullet or Vitamix, everything's pulverized and you're left with a creamy liquid.

Another option, if you coffee, is the Primal Egg variation of Bulletproof Coffee:

No, it's not "eggy." The egg emulsifies like the rest of the fats. You end up with a creamy, almost custardy, latte-like drink.
