So do you think constant worry over the fat loss causes cortisol weight? I gained 20 lbs In the last year after stopping my low calorie WOE. I have been strength training and upped my calories and cut out processed food for 4 months. My clothes are not much looser. I Lost about 4 lbs initially but nothing since. I only weigh once a week and each week when the scale doesn't move I feel more manic. I tried only weighing once a month but felt even crazier when that month was up an no change. I know I'm doing things right ( except on Saturdays the ONLY day of the week I eat out and have a dessert) I wonder if giving up the scale for like 6 months would help. I don't measure because the never come out right. Maybe just going by my clothes. Back to my original question. Anyone have success when they let go of the worry? I tell myself every week I will. But I don't really think I am. Any advice?

Yes. Yes, and yes. Give up the scale forever. Do you really care what the scale says if you look the way you want? That's really what you're after. A look. So maybe pick a cal level. Eat that way for 2 months. Lift. If your clothes are fitting even slightly better, knock off 50 cals a day. Try that for 2 months. Of course, don't forget to take breaks around 8 weeks (12 weeks max). Change up workout routines every 6 weeks, etc.....

But yes, stress is brutal on this. Kiki did a video on this over on the eat more you tube channel. I think it's there.
  • Thanks!!! After gaining back 20 AND still needing to lose 20 for a total of 40 it can be quiet stressful. It has already taken 6 years to lose the 100 that I lost.

Stress SUCKS! Nuff said. I did see kiki's video on stress. It was very helpful. I think I stress more about my weight loss journey than anything else. "Why am I not losing? What did i eat that caused the gain? Did I measure everything correctly? Is my workout not challenging enough? I overate my calories. My body measurements aren't accurate. The scales not moving." The stressful list continues...
