Pre Op Diet Time

My surgery is 2 weeks from today, so today I start my pre op diet. I do not have a liquid diet requirement-mine is ketotic diet for 2 weeks. So not excited about this part of the journey, but excited that the next step is the actual surgery!!!

    Not totally savey on all types of diet so what does Ketotic diet consist of?

    Very high protein, very low carbs and sugars. Have fun with it, surgery time will only be a blink away.

    It's a ketogenic diet. Less than 50g of carbs per day, although most of us keto folks hover closer to 20g. After dinner, I'll get 9g today.

    You can do it! Good to hear all is on schedule with your other recent surgery. I get to start my liquids in a week. We are getting there!

    Yay!! My surgery is 6 days from today. I'm doing the liquid diet now and for me it is easy peasy (I did optifast in my past and lived on shakes for over a year). I'm sooo excited/terrified at the same time. Good luck on your journey, this will be one heck of a wild ride, but also an amazing one!
