It's anecdotal evidence from one guy, but something I thought may be of interest to the community.

    They sure used a low end detection unit. Sure my cheap $15 alcohol breath analyzer will detect ketones but the ones the law uses these days will not give a false positive on acetone.

    T1D's have been arrested due to ketones showing up and because of high blood glucose affecting behavior, they can actually seem to be drunk. Ive told my daughter if she ever gets pulled over and is asked to test to inform them immediately that she's T1D even if she doesn't think she has ketones. Just in case.
