Calories and macros in chicken skin

I ate the delicious crispy skin only (because I'm using the meat and bones in a stew) and I can't find an entry for chicken skin.

Could this be right, that a chicken thigh with skin is about 279 calories, a thigh without skin is 236, and therefore the skin is 43 calories, with 5 grams of fat? It tasted like a lot more calories than that.

According to that, an oz of chicken skin is 102cal, 9g fat. I imagine a chicken thigh has about a half ounce or less of skin when it's cooked. Which is good news for me as my chicken cracklins are less calories than I thought.

It's excellent news. Chicken cracklins are my new favorite snack. I feel stupid that I was throwing away the skin all those years to save a measly 50 or so calories.

Even when I thought I ate healthy, I could never pass on the chicken skin! And if there were leftovers we always ate the skin before packing them up, since it never crisped the same way after refrigeration! ;)

I crisp it back up in the toaster oven!
