The thread starter is in response to Marla's comment about her hill climb vs Val's 13 miles. Doesn't matter how far you go compared to someone else - what matters is that you are proud of what you did. I'm hoping to run 3.5 miles today and if I manage it, I'm going to be very proud of that, because that would be my longest run since my injury. And if I have to walk, I'm going to be proud of myself for going out and at least trying to run 3.5 miles. We are all lapping everyone on the couch.
Yesterday I was the person on the couch. I wasn't sick but I was exhausted and I can't believe how much I slept. Then I slept another 10-1/2 hours last night. That tells me I needed it, so I refuse to feel guilty about blowing off all the stuff I meant to do (even though I still pretty much feel guilty). Yesterday I washed towels & got those put away, washed a couple days worth of built-up dishes, cleaned the bathroom, and cleaned everything in the kitchen except the floor. Today I'll finish laundry, clean the kitchen floor, bedroom & living room, make up the run I blew off yesterday, get to the grocery store, and do some food prep for this week.
Val that stinks about the termites. Have fun at IMAZ!
Marla hope the pumpkin bread turns out! As someone who rarely bakes, that sounds ambitious starting with a whole pumpkin.0 -
LOL Laura your right, I am proud of me! We went for long 3 mile walk on beach yesterday. And funny while you talk about being on couch you talk about all the cleaning and laundry you did! Goes to show how much we expect of ourselves!
I am doing the baking today, going to put pumpkin in oven while I am at target, then you scoop it out to bake with it. I figure it must be the same as making squash or sweet potato soup because thats how I do that.
Its super windy and rainy today so good day to stay indoors and cook.
I contacted local gym and was mad that they won't even give you a monthly price without you sitting down to discuss your excise program with sales person! I will be soo glad when they finish new one they are building, will be ready next fall. I am thinking they will offer specials to get locals to switch over.
I asked what drop in rate was thinking I would try out for a month or so and thinking $10 a day no $15 a day! Crazy for small town.
So I am going to keep looking for somewhere to go Dec & Jan when weather at its worst here.0
