I love my double nespresso with whole milk lattes. Love. But I have come to realize that they are not my friend and give me major gastric upset. De caff is the same, and tea hurts too. I have tried to exchange my morning hot drink with bone broth, and that has helped, but i am getting bored of this. I have tried boiled ginger/tumeric tea and it's "ok". Any one have any other suggestions on warm/satisfying but low carb morning drinks to have with breakfast? Or any recipes for herbal tea or other that you find satisfying. Can't get back on this coffee train...

    I have a bullet proof hot chocolate every morning.

    choc protein powder
    cacao
    coconut oil
    butter
    heavy cream

    topped up with boiled water.

    @christinev297 sounds yummy.

    OP, is it the caffeine or some sweetener/creamer you use that causes upset?

    Egg-drop soup (my version is broth, spices to taste, bring to a boil and remove from heat, then stir in a beaten egg)

    Have you tried different types of bone broth? Bison has a very different taste than chicken, for instance. Might help break the monotony.

    It is @phxteach , and creamy too. Sometimes I also add a raw egg. I could drink this concoction all day long!

    I am sipping some hot chocolate right now.

    1.5tsp cocoa powder, 1Tbs sugar free peppermint syrup (but any sweetener will do), 3oz almond milk, 1Tbs heavy cream and 6oz hot water.
    Could do more almond milk instead of water, but I was trying to lower the calories further. Probably should've just skipped the cream...
