Didn't have time to post yesterday:
SW: 156
LW: 135
TW: 134
Loss of 1 pound
I'm happy with that. I realize it's going to go slow, so I'll just hang on with the same routine for now. Must run for now. Hope you're having a healthy day!

Great job, Sheesh! My weigh-in info is in the thread called Weigh-in November 17, 2015. I'm still just paddling in place.
Honestly, some days are hard to call. I thought I had a good day with intake yesterday, but some pistachio nuts really did me in.
I'm feeling very stressed with this job and holiday guests on the horizon, and I know that this is the time that I have to plan ahead. (I hear you, Lois!)
Monday and Tuesday, I walked for more than an hour each day. Last night I barely had to time to get from work to a homeowners association meeting and then out to the grocery store. We had no time to shop and cook before the meeting, so we hit a restaurant that was a few blocks from the meeting. They had a "skinny chicken parmesan" entrée with less than 400 calories---but then those darned nuts!
What do you ladies snack on when you're hungry after dinner or just have that "crunch" need? Apples and celery sticks just don't do it for me.

Sarah, I sometimes crunch on Ryecrisp crackers or Triscut. If I put a little fat /protein with them (Sargento cheese thin slices = 45 calories per slice) then I feel more satisfied and don't have to eat so many. Raw almonds, which I weigh and put into a cup so I don't eat too many. Crisp celery with almond or peanut butter spread on it and a sprinkle of salt. I know it's not good to have often, but I like a jello 10 calorie cup sometimes, or air-popped popcorn (I get the organic kind) with a little fake butter buds sprinkled on it. I occasionally have a diet root beer or diet coke, too. If I just want more chewing, I grab a sugar-free stick of gum. I try to not eat artificial sweeteners every day.
Sometimes, I just give in to the craving, LOL!! Ya gotta live, right?? I just TRY to get right back on plan afterward.0 -

Hi Ladies! I'm not sure if you remember me, but my name is Kelly and I'm a foodoholic.
I really need to get my *kitten* in gear and get back at it. Too many poor choices with my eating and consumption of alcohol, have lead me back to the weight I am today. Of course, being in a new relationship (7 months now) and traveling to Scotland/Wales/England, really helped do me in too. I'm not going to make excuses.. it's all my fault. Now it's time... time to remember that I need to make better choices for the sake of my health and well being.
I'm hung over today.. I'm not going to lie. But I'm at work, plugging away at my desk job. I'm going to do my absolute best today to move more and eat better.
Sarah - some of the snacks I go to are, veggies (I find if I cut them up as soon as I bring them home from the store, then I'm more likely to go to them first when I'm looking for a snack), popcorn, almonds and WATER (usually when I'm hungry for a snack, it's more likely that I just haven't drank enough water). Also, I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I get a monthly subscription box called "Urthbox". It's sent to me in the mail and it's a handful of healthy snacks. There's a few different options of boxes that you can choose from and sizes. I got the "Diet" box and have been getting it for almost 2 years now. I find that having healthy snacks to grab when I really need that little something.
Off I go to read all of your posts that I've missed and to catch up with what's happening. My weigh-in days are going to be Monday, but I'm posting this now anyway, just to get me started. I'm looking forward to getting back involved in this group.

Kelly! I'm so happy to see you here! What an incredible vacation you had to Scotland, Wales and England! I really enjoyed experiencing it with you via your Facebook photos
It seems like I gain more weight when I'm happy, so being that you're in a new relationship, I can understand your weight gain from having so much fun and being happy. Glad you're back now!!

I completely agree sheesh. Happy occasions usually mean food, food and more food and then booze. But then, it eventually gets out of hand and leaves you feeling not so happy about your body. No excuses... Time to get back at it.0

Kelly - so nitce to meet you. My name is Lois and I'm a foodaholic and lately a really devout Starbucks-aholic!!! I would normally agree that happy times relate to food, food and more food. However, I just picked up my mother in law and drove her back from Cali and it's been less than 24 hours and yeah...well .... fast food and restaurants because I was so stressed and tired from the trip. And started my morning with a large jolt of a fully loaded Venti Peppermint Mocha with an extra shot of espresso. The old ticker's not going to like me, but ah well. I prepared breakfast, but nothing for lunch, so I am going to order my healthy bowl at Chipotle and pick it up. Fish for dinner with some veggies post workout. That's as far as I can plan right now!! Welcome back Kelly - we've missed you - even tho we see you on FB this page is vital for me. Thanks ladies!!

Welcome back, Kelly. I quickly read your post on Sunday, but I ended up having to work some on Sunday and didn't get a chance to respond. I have missed you--especially since I don't see you on Fitbit or FB. (I know, I know!
You ladies think I'm really an avatar with no life! LOL)
As I look back over time, I get frustrated with myself for not making progress. But then I realize that if it weren't for you ladies, I would not be treading water--I would be back where I was, plus a bunch most likely.
These recent posts have made me think about when I overeat. I don't think I'm a stress eater. In fact, when under lots of stress, I forget to eat. I do eat at social occasions (thinking about Thanksgiving coming up), but I think other things factor in. For one thing, I seem to have periods when, for no reason I can think of, I seem to be constantly hungry. That happened for several days last week. I was constantly thinking about food Friday-Sunday. Then yesterday, my work went nuts, and I was angry and fearful, and late in the day, I realized that I had eaten only a handful of raw almonds. ( I followed your suggestion, Sheesh, and bought some of those for quick protein/healthy fats.)
Bottom line, I know that not entering food as it's eaten hurts me. You can't go backwards and un-eat something, and when I log everything at bedtime, there's no chance for corrective action. So I hope to do better with that in the coming week and that will be my goal for the week of November 25-December 1.0
