Sausages

We eat sausages often enough, those nice ones like the italian beef sausages that the butcher makes which he assures me have no fillers in them (they look like they're all meat). I also read labels on everything before I eat it and put it into my diary.

This week I grabbed some "Lean Beef Gluten Free Italian Chipolatas" which looked great. They were little and cute as well. And I have to say, they tasted good. But WTF with the 13.8g carbs per serve?

I ate them anyway, but didn't have any veges on the side and I won't be buying them again.

I grabbed breakfast from the Whole Foods counter this morning --2 Huevos Rancheros (little to no sauce) 2 slices of turkey bacon and one turkey sausage patty - after I ate it felt nauseous from all the fat - and was shocked by the number of carbs - don't think I'll do that again.

Yeah, it sucks that sometimes processed meats like sausages and also lunch meats can contain so darn many hidden carbs! :#

Yikes, that's a lot! Good reminder to always check the labels.

13.8? Eek. How? Why wreck a perfectly good sausage with all that sugar?
