Great pics. I think a lot of eating on holidays is family stress. I am trying to look at it in a positive light.0

Luckily today isn't a holiday for me. Unfortunately I don't get to be with family, but at least there was not all that food temptation.
I started to work on my December goals, but then new crises. One crisis may have me in and out of the Embassy in December (first appt 14th unless I can get something sooner). And then today, I had to do all of the afternoon stuff by myself (DH working late), plus extra errands and shopping. First time since DH got back that I've had that much to do in a short time. At the end of it, my ankles and my right calf were killing me. I just don't know what to do. In a week and a half, I'll be doing this everyday, but I could barely walk tonight. :-( I don't know.

Okay, so I have goals but am not very confident in my ability right now. Need to get my bearings now that DH is gone for a bit. But I'll post my goals, whether I believe I can meet them or not. My "goals" are really "tactics" for getting me back on track before the new year.
Goals
1. Dumbbell workout 3x/wk
2. Vegetable-centric eating
3. Getting more sleep, and more normally timed sleep (read: early)
Methods
1. Workout after school drop off, but "raincheck time" for right after kids bedtime, if necessary
2. Buy bunches of veggies and pre-cut them, plus make some tzatziki for dipping; buy protein powder too
3. Put kids to bed as early as possible, immediately make sandwiches and hot lunches, then read a book in bed til sleepy

It wasn't a good month for my fitness goals. But it was a great month for getting my home in order, which was well worth it.
I did pre cut veggies and make batches of tzatziki and veggies and bean dishes. I did put kids to bed early and got better sleep for parts of the month. But I sabotaged myself in lots of other ways. Going to work on setting January goals. Having gotten to a really good place with my home projects should make it easier.0
