    Well I finished out the year doing a Trail run with my local trail runners club this afternoon. A good way to finish the year and lots of fun although going from the 50's to the 20's overnight is not something I was ready for.
    Happy New Year to my MYAC family. I wish all of you good health and happiness for the coming year.
    Dec. 31: 8.16 miles of trail running 6.16 miles and walking for 2 miles.
    TTD: 310.36 miles

    Happy new year friends. Thanks to a run, a dog walk and a bike ride I'm finishing the month with 98/75. Thank you all for being the best group ever! See you in 2016.

    A wise man here on MYAC told me I would have a love/hate relationship with my hamster wheel. He's right. Once I get about halfway I am good to go. Then its can I make that one more mile. But to get the motivation to get on the thing, thats another thing entirely. I am leavingtomorrow to go over the mountains (lots of snow, wish me luck) to see my son and hang out. He says "Mom, would you bring your bike and trainer with you?" I can't even get a vacation from it, oh well I will get some miles this weekend anyway.

    12/29 - 15.0 miles cycling trainer
    12/30 - 02.0 miles walking
    12/31 - 15.0 miles cycling trainer

    Total: 234.0 miles

    I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate it). Handbells... singing masses...I love thinking about all the wonderful music and beautiful services around the country and the world. Joy to the world!

    I have both of my sons home and it's been wonderful having the family together.

    @clepant - it hit 87 here yesterday, a new record for Christmas. Disney is the weekend after New Year's. If this heat keeps up I may be walking it!

    By the way, I want to say thank you to all the teachers out there, who do such important work. Our future depends on the quality of the education of today's young (but you know that). Enjoy your break!

    Hope the heatwave breaks and thanks for your kind words. Sadly most people don't think think teachers are worth what we are paid. I bleed for my kids everyday and I am going to miss it when I close the doors on that chapter in my life.

    I started the day with a 3.5 mile walk with DH, round the block, pushing my grandson in his buggy - that was a resistance workout walking into the wind. We stopped off for my birthday breakfast at our favourite deli - grandson had his first ever French toast and loved it. Managed to fit in another brisk mile later on in the day.

    Hope everyone came through New Years Eve safe and well.

    31st: 4.54 miles purposeful walking, - MTD 128.85

    Finished of December with 49.1/65 miles complete. 2015 was a disappointing year for my running progress, but new year and new goals to a achieve! Great work everyone!
