I know we should eat enough at dinner so that we don't need a bedtime snack, but I've had one for as long as I can remember! I've been having an apple with almond butter almost every night since I started primal/paleo...however, I'm now finding myself getting into a bit of trouble with the almond butter, eating WAY too much of it!. Does anyone else have any other good ideas for before bed snacks?

I don't typically eat a snack. I usually don't snack at all. But when I do need a little something I eat a little deli turkey meat, carrots with guac, a couple hard boiled eggs or a handful of almonds. Here's a site that lists a ton more ideas:

I try to eat something that fits my macros for the day. If I was low on carb, I'll have a fruit. Low on protein, I have a boiled egg. Honestly, you can just eat your apple and almond butter with less almond butter if calories are the problem.
I like ksellen1's suggestion for guacamole. What kind of food you eat is going to depend on what you are looking for. If it's just a psychological thing, it's sort of like breaking a cereal habit - you may not even need it.0
