Wow another month has blown by and soon it will be 2016. So what will this last month bring us? Will we eat, drink, and be merry for January we die(t)? I'm hoping to keep recovering from my finger surgery and shoulder PT so I can get my butt moving fast again in January.
Great to hear about the treatments for your son Debbie! Hopefully that will still going well.
Yesterday, I got my splint off my left hand and my finger is doing pretty good. It's very still so I need to work on getting flexibility back but at least it's so much easier to type now! I got a really cool lightening scar developing from the middle of my palm to the middle of my pinky finger. Oh... I took a shower today for the first time in 3 weeks (I had to limit myself to awkward baths and have my wife wash my hair) and it felt so glorious! I never thought I would feel this way about a shower but yeah, it was awesome!
My shoulder PT is going pretty good. I have a lot less pain now but I've been pretty lax with my at home exercises since Thanksgiving. I have my third PT session tomorrow so that should be fun.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a real great and mellow one, but we went all out and got a heirloom turkey from Diesel farms just outside Sonora and I can't remember having a more tasty bird. It reminded me of the turkey I used to eat with my family as a young kid because the dark meat is really dark. You can barely tell the different in light and dark meat in regular turkeys these days.
I'm hoping to get back to doing some of the DB365 workouts again. I check in to see what I'm missing and there's some great stuff that they are offering. I see Kristine comment from time to time so it looks like she's doing great with that program. It's a lot more social than what the BL was as there's so much more people doing the same program as oppose to all the different groups on BL. I haven't really got involved too much since I'm just sitting on the sidelines for now.
My wife has decided to go on the Whole 30 plan starting January 1. That's where you knock out pretty much all the sugar from your diet for 30 days and then reintroduce some things back in. By association, I'm doing the program as well and I think I will go all in instead of just the shared meals. I hear the first week is very frustrating but supposedly it will get better. Kinda like, but I'm sure a lot worse, when I gave up sodas.
I hope this month is a great one for y'all and hopefully we can all wrap up some lingering things and celebrate all our accomplishments over the past year!

We got the same turkey and my nephew smoked it, it was awesome. I now have the cold and caugh that is going around so I hope to feel better so I can start working out again. I have decided to follow weight watchers so see how that goes. You are right 2016 is almost here.
My son is doing well but cant drive untill Feb. so he drives for work so he is on long term disability. So are going through the garage so that is good. lol

Mmmmmm smoke turkey. I bet it was delicious.
Sucks about being sick. I've been sick the past few days and it's no fun especially over Christmas. We postponed a road trip because I wasn't up to it but at least we got to enjoy a trace of snow on Christmas Eve.
I had my followup visit with my Orthopedic doctor and my shoulder feels really good now with an occasional bit of soreness. I have two more PT visits to solidify my recovery routine and once I get over being sick and past New Years, I'm going all in again and shooting to work out at least once a day. I think I'm also going to try to work in some kind of mediation to start off the morning and start my mornings off in a different way than just waking up and hitting the normal work routine.

Yea being sick sucks!!! I am just coughing a bit now. Just got back from the gym and it felt great. Mt goal to start is 4 times a week.
Let me know how the mediation goes. Everything sounds great with your should and finger you will be back to normal soon.
